The famous quote
" I want this pollution gone in 7 days "

If you do come to Thailand as a tourist
1) Find a Soi dog near your hotel and strap the thing to its leg
Many interesting journeys there for sure
Or 2) Pay a bit of cash to a taxi driver for the day. He puts it in his stowage area under his seat
many trips to and from everywhere.
If I had to wear one as an ex-pat if they ever make ex-pats wear these things I'd strap it to our dog or cats.
The dog gets out more than the cats.

Hi There,
Just trying to jog my memory
My 1st 90 day report comes up 2 Mondays from now on 26th of October as UbonJoe graciously stated previously. ????
I am very obviously aware of the TM 7 form for 90 days downloaded But believe me I searched to find out what do you have to copy from your passport I just found the time you have before and after due date
Just cant remember that
1) What do you have to copy from your passport for 90 day report ?
2( Do you have to fill out a TM28 change of address form as well as a TM 30? on behalf of wife? Wife owns the new property
I am moving give or take some days about 4
Just wondering about the TM 28 form or does the TM 30 form override the TM 28.
Moving in about 4 days Want to do all this on the 26th at CM Imm.
Cheers,
Kirby

Were you here on a 90 day permission of stay based on a Non Imm O marriage visa?
Yes for many years Multi O
The house photo in first post should give you a clue to your first suggestion
So your first suggestion is the clue.
Just finished the landscaping plants and trees
I have a friend that does the same thing but with another agent.
Sends it all away and he receives his extension.
This agent very professional fast and a convenient service.
No did not have to
i also didn't have to visit Thai embassy in Savanakhet as passport was sent down to Savanakhet from agent in Vientiane. Had to stay a few days in Vientiane though instead of 2.
ALL documents x2 provided at initial meeting The agent asked for photos of us giving examples in our current place etc. Received in consideration stamp first
I sent down passport before in consideration stamp date .
The agent dropped off and picked up passport from immigration.
I received full extension stamp

Ubon Joe is always correct
He is the visa/extension master of Thailand ????

My wife was at the first meeting via agent in CM
She thinks everything is a scam ????
So she was really really checking the agent out for herself too. It is good to have someone like my wife who thinks everything is a scam.
That was with the initial handing over documents and passport
By the way almost an inch high of 2 sets of docs 1 for agency and 1 for immigration.

Sending passport back to the agent I got the official marriage extension stamp
QuoteHow do you know that it isn't a fake extension stamp? Have you been able to verify it with immigration?
The agency was recommended to me via a TV member Id rather go that way then find an agent myself.
If they were not ligit their website etc would be taken down by immigration immediately.
Very professional, fast and convenient service.
I have always dealt with agents before even in Laos and prefer dealing with a good professional agent.
That is just me

Thanks for doing the above Ubon Joe. ????
Hmm that is interesting I thought it was from 1st of Sept.
I haven't been on extensions for some years.
So if you are saying October 26th
That is just after we move into new house. So can probably do a TM 30 on line before that
So you are including the 1 month in consideration stamp.
Ok not a problem really good to know.
Cheers, Kirby

This is a thread for ALL Multi-o users who have had to change to another visa/extension due to the pandemic and borders being closed
I'll start it off with my successful transition to a yearly marriage extension via an agent.
I am keen to hear about many other success stories since there was a stupid thread about many foreigners will have to leave Thailand on September 26th Bla Bla Bla .
Once immigration announced that you have to be on some sort of visa/extension by the 26th of September I started to get the ball rolling in July.
A TV member recommended an agent and a year's marriage extension was quite reasonable.
So going through the process for a full yearly marriage extension I initially got a 1 month in consideration stamp.
Sending passport back to the agent I got the official marriage extension stamp.
I am actually looking forward to doing 90 day reporting as CM Imm has drive through so quick and easy
My first 90 day report is in late November
Concerning that other thread I was really disappointed to read that other people were commenting on the fact that Multi-o holders were criminals, losers or almost possibly in the form of overstayers. W T F?
Since November last year my wife and I have been building a house. We have put in a lot of money into the local economy. We have supported Boss 1, Foreman, and a great construction crew and their families over this pandemic time.
With the current situation I am now able and have the opportunity to live in our house coming up soon in October not just the wife so to speak.
Obviously when we move will have to do a TM30 as she will be the land owner. She will be in charge
Mind you for years I was expecting the embassy to say no more Mult-os for you you need to go on an extension but hey if your agent always pulls through with one this was something to ride on
We have to go through so many hoops to stay here. Remember that crazy Thai Culture Course? I even had to do that when I was on Non Imm-b extensions for some years.
My wife is also very happy about this yearly extension no more trips to Laos just a short drive into CM to do a 90-day report. ????
Now it is your turn please tell how successful you have been to change your situation

Thanks for the report.
Question > Did you make use of a 'legwork' service (just checking that your application is correct and complete, and doing the application on your behalf at IO), or did you need the agent to 'fix' some of the requirements you were not able to meet?
Also the fee and name of the agent you used would be of interest.
Hi Denis
Check your messages I am writing to you now

I am not messing around with this visa amnesty
As of late last month I have a very fresh
1 month inconsideration stamp in my passport for a marriage extension via an agent.
At the end of this month I get my official marriage extension stamp.
Looking forward to do 90 day reports at drive through 90 days at CM immigration.
It feels so good to have a fresh new stamp in my passport ????

Just mentioning my experiences with agents so far all good
Hence dealing with an agent for 1 year marriage extension in CM
Some people don't like them some people like them
-
At Imm I also had to fill in some imm docs about my current visa I have had and other details. It was in Thai and English.
These docs were extras from immigration.

I dealt with an agent in Vientiane for 5 years
He was great
At first he charged 11 000 bt for his service + 5000 bt for multi o from Savannakhet with receipt
Then he rounded the price off to 20000 bt his service 15000 + 5000bt for Multo o visa again from Savannakhet with receipt for the last couple of years
I did not have to go to Savannakhet I had a weeks holiday instead ????
I had to stay in Vientiane minimum 3 days but always made it a week.

why ?
why not just wait a day and see what the official announcement is BEFORE making any plans?Sick of the bs waiting around too much
Now with the extended date up to September 26 I read what that means is everyone has to sort out some sort of visa/extension before that day. That is what I gathered
Or get out just before the 26th
So waiting around to me now is not achieving anything.
Wife and I have been building a new house since last year. Obviously later on this year when it is finished we to be able to enjoy living in it together???? not just the wife.
Cheers,
Kirby

Going with an agency now even though I was told to come back on the 30/31st
Probably better that way too
Dealt with an agent for years in Laos
A beginning of a new extension relationship NOT a multi-o visa
I am also able to extend for 1 year extension based on a couple of multi-o in passport from agency
I told imm off previously i have never had a 60 day extension
So getting the ball rolling this Thursday with agent
Just want to be normal again in the new normal with an extension stamp etc and doing 90 day reporting
CM Imm has drive through 90 day reporting.

Apparently, for a "bonus fee" of several thousand baht you can switch your visa to a marriage visa immediately if you go through an agent and pay the "bonus fee".
This is interesting too
I read in another thread for a retirement situation the Special Price was quoted at 25 000 bt If that was the case
That would be quite cheap considering in Laos my agent charged
15 000 bt for his service and 5 000 bt for visa.
I did not have to go to Savannakhet but stay in Vientiane longer than 2 days
He was a good agent dealt with him for years
I have never had a 60 day extension so should be able to get that.
I also told the imm officer lots of people here on the 30/31st and she really didn't say anything

Hi There,
Copy of marriage certificate
You don't need the original even though I took that in just to be safe
Kor Ror 22 copy the document from Ampoe/City hall that says your still married an update basically
CM Imm accepted the Kor ror 22
Passport front page copy
I threw in my last multi o visa and stamp
Wife's Id card copy
Wife's house book copy
And of course your wife

My multi 0 finished on the 8th of May was supposed to go to Laos then for a new one of which the Imm officer say and I pointed out my last May stamp to her. So I am on Amnesty now.
And thank you Tanoshi for pointing out in another thread that multi o visa holders are not freeloaders. ???? ( I recall )
My wife and I have been building a new 2 story house for the past year will be finished in late September moving in before winter.
I just liked a one week holiday in Laos and Laos sandwiches.

Interesting that she said this this morning
But extremely happy with our docs.
I went to initially kick start a marriage extension
Firstly 60 days
Then apply for 1 year marriage extension
I think you have a months pending after that
Followed by a years extension all going well.
Gust going through the
60 days
1 month pending
! year extension procedure.
Just interesting that she said that
She pointed it out on the calendar to me and my wife.

Hi There,
Just thought I'd try my luck with a 60 Day extension (visiting Thai wife) at Chiang Mai Immigration this morning
My wife and I left early got in around 9 am.
After checking all documents at the front entrance I thought I was good to go.
I had to fill out some English/Thai forms regarding Sixty Day extension from Immigration
Maybe because it was my first and only 60 day extension I have ever had.
I had all the docs required from Ubon Joe's list of many times I am sure on Thai Visa. ????
The immigration officer was really happy with our docs. ????
But she pointed out that we still have up until the 30/31st
I said to her there will probably be a lot of people doing the same on those days.
So she basically said come back on the 30/31st and do the extension
So that tells you something
We did our Kor Ror 22 yesterday at Chiang Mai City Hall lots of waiting.
We got 2 done at 45 baht.
So back again on the 30/31
Definitely the 30th ????
