  1. Hi all - hopefully a simple one!

My girlfriend (Thai) is looking to drive back to Pathum Thani (just North of Bangkok) from Khon Kaen with her son and mother.

It sounds like these police/army checkpoints between provinces just check temperature and whether your reason for traveling is 'reasonable'?

Any reason to doubt she would be allowed to drive back to Pathum Thani?

    Cheers,

        Si

  2. Hi all

I'm nearly complete on the online service https://thaievisa.go.th/

The last page wants an upload of most of the documents, including 'financial evidence'

    Now, this page:

    http://www.thaiembassy.org/london/en/services/7742/84508-Non-Immigrant-visas.html#2

does say "bank statements" for a Type B for employment (that's me) - but for whom?

    Plus above it does say:

"Financial evidence e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, proof of sponsorship from a third party"

although that is for a type B relating to business purposes (meetings etc)

So do they want my personal bank statements? Or the new employers business financial statements?

    6 months worth?

    Thanks!

       Si

  3. Hi all

I've been offered a job in Bangkok - the company are supporting the non-B Visa and want to get the work-permit, WP3 underway. I've been asked for letters (anything?) to evidence my employment history to support the WP3.

Here in the UK we don't get work certificates or anything like that. If I remember correctly, the minimum employers should give for a reference is:

    Start date

    End date

    Job title

That's it - doesn't really give much. Although some guides suggest just my CV is enough for the WP3 application?

Anyone have experience of the supporting information needed?

    Thanks,

      Si
