Check the export levels before writing off Thailand's fiscal position at year end.

    Imports are also down.

I agree that the Covid/Songkran travel policy handling was crazy & am sure

the PM realizes he made a decision from the heart instead of the brain.

The Thonglor BIB again accepted bribes to go blind, as did the border patrols up North.

    His staff let him down.

Now we have a moving target so very difficult to predict when there would be a recovery.

The Health Minister's handling of the vaccine procurement  has been nothing short of

ransom of the country but in fairness to him he is being instructed from  much higher up

Oh come on. Made a decision from the heart instead if the brain? That's how he makes all of his decisions, the man's a numpty, pure and simple.

For goodness' sake "His staff let him down". Gimme a break. As for being instructed 'from much higher up'... Friend, you badly need to stop looking for excuses not to blame this guy for what is essentially a master class in balls-ups.

    So, 6%, 5%, 4%, 3.5%, 3%, 2.8% now 1.6%.

    Total joke these financial wizards.

It will be ZERO at best with no opening, get used to it and plan for it.

Agreed. whenever I see a picture such as the one heading up this topic, I want to laugh. I just can't take these people seriously. Which seems fine because they evidently take themselves seriously enough for all of us.

But is really shouldn't be this way. I struggle to think of any aspect of the country which is well-managed, so it isn't just these talking heads, it seems like it's a national cringe problem.

Highest number so far, the last couple of days were a lot lower. Lets see if this is an anomaly or the new normal.

The goverment officials were stating they thought they were past the worst of it. This number shows that is untrue. Unless of course tomorrow and the days after that are much lower.

I think a few guys just jumped the gun being so happy that it was lower as before and saw it as a way to justify things bring good news.

It also shows that the goverment either does not communicate or does not willfully keeps the numbers down.

If they willfully kept the numbers down this tick up would not have happened. And if they communicated better the guys that jumped the gun would not have looked foolish. But that is all based upon the idea that this is not an anomaly.

I rarely agree with this poster, but in this case, I thinks he's about right on all counts. The best thing that Mr Prayuth and his  acolytes can do right now, is shut the hell up and get on with the job the Thai people pay them to do, only quietly.

The time for advertising the sub-standard job they're doing is long gone.

Well, they are in good shape in terms of the vaccine roll out, but look  the amount of covid deaths in the UK and USA

UK 127,000 deaths ( similar population to the Thailand )

    USA 596,000 deaths

Compare those figures to Thailand  = 110 deaths

So, yeah those countries needed to be prioritized given the sheer number of cases and deaths.

You don't see anything troublesome in those numbers?

Good luck getting anything out of these greedy parasites.

And I am quite sure they will  deny any suggestion that no country in the world trusts them, and be genuinely puzzled that anyone would say such a thing. Stupid foreigners eh? Clueless.

Thais rule the world, and have the only worthwhile language in the world (that the Thai government itself says that 65% of Thais cannot speak properly).

I feel all privileged and stuff to live in the third world.

good luck with that.  you think this is America?

Yep. We absolutely guarantee against contracting COVID-19 and will bear all costs in the event that you do.

If we can't find a legal exit door. And only if you are neither a man nor a woman.

There, that should be enough for the stupid foreigners. After all, if they weren't completely  stupid, would they ever hire a Jetski?
