NOT likely going to open for several more months...don't buy another airline ticket because it will be cancelled.
In or OUT?
Etihad has already opened a schedule for Bangkok to Abu Dhabi in July..
I'm booking a flight in the next week or two, with Etihad, FROM Bangkok to Toronto, via Abu Dhabi.. but worried if it will get cancelled. ????????
Gotta be out of the country by July 31st(on visa amnesty now)

So my visa expired match 28th I'm currently on my 30 day extension until April 27th... What does this mean for me once April 27th Rolla around?? ????????

This literally will do nothing, as the streets are basically empty at these times anyways.
All the bars are closed, people have no reason to be out past 10 o'clock anyways.
Should implement a 24 hour lockdown for 2 weeks

So how does this help anyone that has already used their first 30 day normal extension?
LIKE ME.
I arrived back in Thailand on February 28th.
Let's hope one of these neighboring countries open the borders this month and can say adios to Thailand.

seems like they are just following the UK's lead
what about immigration offices that right now have long lines going out into the street 100's of people ????????????
Not all of them hehe
I went for a 30 day extension this morning, arrived at immigration at about 10:30am I was out before 11:00am
About 15 people for various things in the immigration office.

Is this ONLY for people before they depart from wherever they are TO Thailand?
Or for people flying out as well?
Basically I have a flight in 3 weeks to Cambodia(if this particular flight does not get cancelled)-(if it does I'll hopefully find another flight)
But what I'm asking is, is this medical certificate covid test needed to depart from thailand to arrive in Cambodia?

Well, as of right now cbodia seems to be the only option, but I'll get my 30 day extension next week, and will ask in Thai about what the options are for when that 30 is up. I'd Cambodia hasn't closed its doors I can go there for a month than extend a month and hopefully yhkgs will be calmed down by that time.. worst case scenario head to South Korea, I get a 6 months visa on arrival stamp as a Canadian citizen.

Are all flights cancelled to Singapore or just your one flight? I would think there are other flights there still.
Yes, but that is something I'm not to worried about, it's the fact of staying in Thailand.
I was just stating about my travels plans, honestly I wasn't even going to Singapore. That was just a fun flight for when I arrived at the airport.
But as I was planning a move to Vietnam that is not possible at the moment.
So than I was going to head to Laos and stay for a month or two see if things calmed down, or go to Laos and get a Thai visa and come back.
Either way I'm very curious to see what immigration will say about overstaying visas. Due to not wanting to travel back to home countries, or not being able tohit up a neighboring country for a visa run/border run.

Interested to see what will happen exactly. I've always had tourist visas for the last 3 years.
Now I'm just on a visa exempt, which I am due to EXTEND next week for 30 days.
Been curious what I will do once that time is up, as my flight has been cancelled to Singapore, my travel plans to Vietnam are currently not possible due to Vietnam suspending visas, and now Laos has just stopped issuing visas, so I couldn't even potentially go to Laos for a Thai visa, or border hop. Even the thought of going to Laos for a month or two is now not possible.
(Canadian citizen btw)
And no not travelling back to Canada.
Hmm ????????????

Someone correct me if I am wrong here.. since you were denied the TV can you or anyone for that matter not just head to the border and cross on a visa exempt (30 day on arrival)
Also may I ask which country you are from?

I have many back to back tourist visas in Vientiane. My last one was actually to Yangon Myanmar.
I than got a new passport fron my embassy in Bangkok.
So now I have a brand new Canadian passport issued in Bangkok.
I will be going to Vientiane next month to apply for a tourist visa in the new passport.
Has anyone had any experience or had an issue with getting Thai visas with a passport (Canadian) that has been issued in Thailand.
Or will my new passport do me for just about as many visa runs an such as my last passport.
Thai Customs Rant

I recently ordered a package of supplements from the US. Of course the company ships with DHL.
It arrived to Thailand in about 5 days.
BUT, now my package has been sitting in customs since Sunday morning. Probably going to be another week. As because it's supplements and protein powder, it needs to be approved by the Thai FDA before release. Which should not be a problem as it's a months supply which is ok in their guidelines..
I can only imagine what sort of extra cost I am going to be asked to pay upon release. Whenever this happens.
I'm hoping soon. But each day I keep getting a tracking update that it's pending customs inspection. DHL says their waiting for FDA to process approval.
What a sh*t show.
