50'000 Thai Bath each...??? What for...for the tourist agencies in China? For sure not by spending in restaurants or other places. They purchase food and cook at home (in rented apartments or villas), leaving garbage everywhere and places often in a disgusting way. There are a few well educated Chinese I've met, having really good manners and knowing well how to behave. If those were flooding Thailand I'd be happy. 

Countries in the European Union to prohibit sales of cool cigarettes ????????...what a load of s**t! Does he really think that we are informed that badly about what's going on in Europe?! Don't try to fool us please...we are grown up.

I seriously wonder why so many commenting here are considering home office as such a unfeasible thing. Big companies can do that easily! Its working well in many countries now. 

Criticizing every potential move towards other solutions then what these keyboardwarrior are used to is their hoppy as they have nothing else to do than this.

Only 22'000 were tested out of a 66 million?!

To be sincere, I'm not quite convinced that all tourists that are applying for a Visa extension due to covid 19 were and are really stranded. I know a few that simply didn't want to fly home "during their planned vacation" some ignored the calls of their embassies to join the repatriation flights home and some that simply didn't and don't want to go home. I know only a few that absolutely can't! 

What about southern Thailand? Nearest tests possible in Chantaburi! Many seem to be overwhelm with decreasing numbers but....sorry for...it will take much longer. There are many other countries testing a lot more than in Thailand. It seems that on one hand we have not enough testing kids and on the other not enough testing centers.

No scientific proof at all. In no country all around the world a scientologist has ever said such a thing. How can he know? Scientific proof please!

One member here said that the virus might have adjusted to the heat. It didn't but if social distancing is not properly done, when people are sharing glasses, using same spoons on a buffet during a wedding or ceremony, sitting closely together, are sleeping in the same bed or together with family members in one room a.s.o. the virus is not exposed long enough to heat, humidity and sun to die! At night there is no sunlight so the virus is living much longer on surfaces and in the air.

SOCIAL DISTANCING IS KEY....FOR EVERYBODY! 

That doesn't astonish me. I suppose that it was like that a long time already. Now that so many countries are blocking their people from traveling or highly sugest not to do it, Thailand hasn't to fear that no tourist will come so can reveal their true numbers. 

That's quite normal. Thai family is closer to them than a foreigner that doesn't have the same mentality nor does he speak her language. Relax...that's the way it is, always was and will be.

Every time they are mentioning "in contact with foreigners". Of course they were in contact with foreigners when they left the country! It is as if every other country would blame the foreigners of beeing the cause getting I'll. They NEVER do it. The health department is just looking for someone to blame for. 

Is there ever a thing or action you keyboard warriors are fine with? Sitting behind you mobile, pad, laptop or PC just looking for something to complain about! You'd better stay all day in bed or drinking with your friends with same attitude and leave us alone!!! Don't bother us please with your negative attitude.

I suppose that most of you don't know that the virus, once outside of the body, does not survive long if temperatures are above 25/26°C. That is actually the case in Thailand! Just for your information. 

Excellent idea...in our big resort most Europeans cancelled their bookings for March and April due to coronavirus fear. These had spend money as they have some. Thailand makes itself a great favor offering visa exempt so more Europeans will cancel their bookings. When will they ever learn?!

Criticism....criticism...criticism here! Is there ever a thing you all can estimate as a good step forward? Keyboard warriors all over?! Sad but true. 

It makes me sick to my stomach and extremely sad that now Thais are looking out for farangs that eventually could be on overstay. What a sickening way of doing was implemented in Thais thinking and behavior!!!??? Go on growing Thais hate of farang! One day more of them will stay away and tourist numbers will drop even more. Who wants to travel to a country where hate is goal of the government? Keep on going...
