check what DNS settings you are using. U may have a extra secure public DNS.

You need to contact AIS and request they switch their router/modem to "bridge" mode and then supply you the PPPoE details (username and password) which you then input into the AC88U.

While you are at it, you may want to flash your Asus AC88U with merlin firmware. Message me and I'll walk u thru it., reeeel simple to do.

how are you connected to vpn: on a router, if so what router? Routers cannot manage OpenVPN cipher decryption with any degree of efficiency. You need a router with a good processor and hardware acceleration. Only a few home router can provide this.

If the iptv server is in the USA and many are, connecting to a HK server is your best bet, avoid singapore.
