Exactly, and they call them "guards", what am I in prison? I take it further, I won't go in a gogo with predominantly all male waiters

Baccara used, not sure if they still do

Should be called mobster goons. When they demanded our phones it really felt like mafiosos in their prime.

It’s getting better and better with each post.

99% here have never experienced what you have.

    Think there’s a reason why?

I'm mostly outside during the night time. I prefer the cooler weather and the easier traffic. Most other people outside during daytime.

I am confused Could be old age, but where are the tops daily I googled it, and none showed up on Walking Street

As to the fight first i don't stay out that late.  Second, never harass a Thai lady especially if you have been drinking

There are many reasons to upset people but again I wonder with the location maybe people can explain are there not Tourist police in that part of the street.

For some reason it's not marked on google maps. Here's the street view.

What is someone who "doesn't go out much", with PTSD from being attacked in Pattaya, doing wandering around a party area at 4am?

I haven't been in walking street in 6 months even I live in Pattaya. I don't drink and have never been in a bar in Pattaya.

    How did you get PTSD?

Not really relevant, but I got assaulted several times here in Pattaya. I've made posts about it before. No I wasn't drunk or making trouble. I was innocent sitting down while a drugged up foreigner kicked me in my head. Once a drunk thai lady hit me in my balls. Once a bunch of thai kids tried to snatch my phone. Everytime my PTSD got worse.

    Another glass half empty story.

Details would be beneficial.  Cause of the fight?  Venue?  Time?

Sometime between 4 am and 4:30 am. On the street outside Tops Daily on the far end of walking street. Several "famous/infamous" discos nearby. Two white guys looking young, groomed and kinda honest, arguing with a shabby looking Thai woman. The guards interfered on the side of the Thai. I couldn't count the kicks those guys got in the back of their heads.

So you handed over your phone ?

I'm guessing you were "in their face" filming so they chose you otherwise if you were at a distance they wouldn't of came over to you

You did the right thing however, in both filming and unfortunately handing over your phone because you would/could of been assaulted.

    I don't know the answer

I was standing by the entrance to tops daily, probably more than 10 meters away. I didn't film. The guard got upset with me when he couldn't find any video on my phone. He looked for a while. In my friends phone he first deleted the video and then also emptied the "deleted files" folder. Seemed like he knew what he was doing. I tried refusing first by putting away my phone, but he was yelling like a mad man and was surely about to hit me so I gave it to him. Felt like being robbed.

  8. Two of them outside central a few days ago tried the same thing with me within 10 minutes of each other. Pointed at my eye and said I had some dark spots, but they could help me. They wanted me to follow them to the store to buy wild thai honey, okra and something else. He got annoyed when I refused to go with him.

If they really want your bike  (what bike BTW)

they will take it no matter what lock is on there  just turn up with a pickup truck couple of thugs and angle grinder   gone in 60 seconds 😋 just get a padlock and lock the front disc brake while out and about  at home keep in the bedroom   like the Thais do !

And perhaps consider some good insurance ?

Check our Abus granit detecto X-Plus, sure makes it more complicated for them. I'd like to find something similar here.

  10. Hey

In my home country I use Abus Granit Detecto X-Plus on my dear bike. Here I can't seem to find any good locks at all.

Can you recommend a really strong lock and chain for my bike that I'm about to buy? Shopee and Lazada only seem to have locks for about 200 thb...

  11. A friend of mine bought a condo there a year ago. It's real ghetto and moldy place, with a lot of criminal neighbors. Indians taking craps in the stairs too.
