This is a man of such astonishing levels of moral bankruptcy it blows the mind when one thinks of the level of indulgences he has lavished upon himself.
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei’s automobile collection, valued at an estimated US$5 billion and consisting of over 7,000 cars, is often regarded as the largest private car collection in the world.
https://e.vnexpress.net/news/trend/sultan-of-brunei-boasts-5b-private-car-collection-4699297.html
When you have gold cars with an umbrella platform, you can bet the private jets are going to be jaw-dropping too. A Born Rich report claimed the sultan has his own Boeing 747-400, Boeing 767-200 and Airbus A340-200 jets.
The Istana Nurul Iman Palace is the epitome of extravagance with more than 1,700 rooms, 257 bathrooms and five swimming pools, according to GQ India. The sultan reportedly has 110 garages on the property to house that insane car collection, and he also loves horses. He’s had special air-conditioned stables built to make sure his steeds are well looked after and in the best possible condition.
I would like to know about the women in his harem and how he finds them.

The 20 years cost you 2 Million Baht last year, full perks ?
Which Visa sticker did they place in your Passport ??... S.E. (5 years) or P.E. (1 year) - both renewable for duration of membeship.
I got the 20 years for 1 million thb, with the only perk I use are lounges when departing Thailand. I've got a 5 years sticker in my passport, with 1 year visa every time I enter the country.

Its the S.E. Visa... which is a 5 year Visa... BUT, I have to do an extension every 90 days.
... which seems bonkers.. whats the point of putting a 5 year Visa Page in our Passport, and then allowing us 90 days each entry, or having to get an extension.
Personally - in 15 years of membership I travel so much I've only needed to file an extension twice.... so the inconvenience has not been noticed by myself, however, the S.E. visa is not such a great option for someone who's staying here long term and never travels.
I wonder, if upon transfer Thai Elite would be prepared to switch over the Visa Type from S.E. to P.E.
-------------
S.E. Visa (5 Year sticker) - but need an extension every 90 days, renew Visa every 5 years for duration of membership.
P.E. Visa (1 Year sticker) - Renew Visa each year for duration of membership.
Yeah I got the 20 year elite last year, and I never had to do the 90-day reporting yet either because I also travel too often. For me the 30 year would have been a better choice, but it seems it's mostly suitable for golfers, which I'm not.

Lifetime was for the original memberships... (i.e. mine is lifetime for me)... But, upon transfer only 30 years is transfered (taking you to 75 yrs)....
Its a shame they don't allow the life time to transfer, but that would have some memberships being transfered to children & friends etc and getting transfered perpetually....
But is yours 90 day visa or a year? The current thai Privilege gives a year visa at once. If yours is just 90 days it's really not equivalent or comparable at all.

The biggest reason to avoid Phuket is the police. They are a lot nicer in most other parts of Thailand.
My friend once got a parking fine in Phuket, with a chain in his wheel. Of course the parking illegal sign was a loose mobile pole which had been turned away so it couldn't be seen from where the traffic came from. A lot of foreigners got fines that day.

What happened afterwards? Did he stick around until the police arrived? How was he caught?
Did he say anything afterwards?
Yes he went into a condo, and the guards at Arcadia looked at the camera and found him. He confessed everything to the police.
I did a CT scan of my brain and they couldn't find any damage, so it was hard to press the case. Cameras at the condo didn't catch the attack either. I never felt the same anyway. Bad memory and brain feels more stupid and slower, not sure if it's placebo. Perhaps in just getting old.

Where did this happen in Pattaya? How hard was the kick, enought to knock you down?
Yeah I went flying. In Arcadia condominium near the swimming pool.

I'm lucky to be alive, because I honked at thais several times. Perhaps we should all remove the horns from our vehicles.

Did you not notice him closing in on your personal space a bit before it happened ?
With this poor old fella, I guess he didn't hear or sense that the German mental case was closing in on him.
Unless I am in a big crowd, I usually have a close account of who is around me and how close they are.
Yes I thought he came to say hi, he looked friendly. He tried to kick me in my face, but I turned around and he got a soccer freekick in the back of my head.

Similar thing happened to me in Pattaya by a Canadian guy. I sat down on the side of a pool and he came up to me and kicked me in the back of my head. He had to pay 20k fine, but my brain never felt the same.

It seems many here are mislead by the western media.
Check out this video to come closer to the truth of what's really happening.

What's interesting is if he has to pay for the hospital bills for the passengers, even they didn't wear helmets, and sat three on one scooter. Seems reasonable that he's not accountable for their lack of protection.

I met a french guy in Pattaya talking about fake rolexes. He said that the guy usually parked his sportcar outside one of the clubs on walking street.

The Canadian guy who admitted to the Police that he had kicked me in the back of my head got 20k fine. I don't understand why some incidences are rated so different in Thailand.

Do you require an original residence certificate to open a bank account?

Certainly there are plenty of retirees in the places you have mentioned. But, there are also significant numbers in other places, including a variery of higher-end housing projects on the Darkside--with more being built, and in the more expensive condo projects that have been built in the past few years, with the trend for new condos decidely more upscale than the no-frills VTs of yesteryear.
The Cove, Northpoint, Baan Plai Haad, Northshore, Aeras, Zire, The Palm, Arom Wongamat, Cetus, Andromeda, Reflection, and others come to mind. Copacabana, for example, has an average price of about 123,000 baht a sqm. Arom Wongamat is at 163,000 baht. VT5 goes for just 52.000 baht a sqm.
My friend bought a condo last year in Pattaya for 8k per sqm. Flybird. He's very happy and has renovated it to western standard for less than 100k.

What about the regular kellogs or nestle cornflakes sold everywhere? Even in 7-11. It doesn't taste sweet to me.

Question that should be asked is why the Swedish women neglect the Swedish men. They really do.

what problem are you talking about?
I've been using bitkub for 5 years, I liked it a lot, it's always worked great. Now they sent me same message as for you. Only thai citizens allowed.

My question is, how did he get 500 euro notes? I tried at my local DeutscheBank and was told that they were not in circulation... I guess they are still available in other countries?
I got them at TT currency in Pattaya, and I then used them in Germany this year. The Germans acted strange when I handed it to them, but they accepted it.

Perhaps same Thais who tried to snag my phone from me in Jomtien beach 3 months ago. 3 guys on a Honda wave came from behind and pulled my hand and my phone. Police didn't care about it because I didn't lose anything. It was directly under the CCTV, and I told police the time. They laughed at me while I left.
I threw a bottle at one of them and he probably got a bit hurt, so I didn't push it.

I visited many condos in the base already 6-7 years ago, and they were in terrible condition already. Taps and door handles falling off and everything felt cheap. The rooms are tinier than prison cells too. The Guards always gave me a hard time too, had to park outside.

I've been considered flying business with them, but this sucks. I wonder if he could get his money back from his credit card provider with a charge back?
