That's the one year visa I'm addressing.  Anyway back on topic, it seems there is no answer for this for those that got the 60 day extension to visit the Thai wife or child  the week before September 26th.

I think I'm in the same boat as you although I started with an expired 90-day non-o entry for being the parent of a Thai child, then got the 60 day one-off extension on 24th September.

It's probably asking too much to expect them to change the start date to 30th November, but here's hoping.

We went to Samut Prakan (Pak Nam) immigration today. We both got "under consideration" stamps that say to come back on October 14th for the "final" extension stamp. I asked if I can come back sooner, and they said to only come back on the 14th unless there is another official announcement.

So all told, my current "extension" is good for just shy of 3 weeks. For good measure, I will likely be going back with a new embassy letter for October, just to stay "officially" covered somewhat.

@WhateverDudeI will go to the same office tomorrow. Was it crowded? Trying to get 60 days extension on a non-o.

My permission to stay had also expired because the borders were closed and I could not reactivate my Non O multi. My last border stamp had expired in June. Nonetheless my local immigration gave me the 60 day extension to visit wife ( Petchabun ). However, if your actual visa has expired as opposed to your last entry stamp then others have reported the problem that immigration would not give them an extension because their Non O visa was past its sell bt date.

What the actual official rule is on this I don't know but I would phone immigrations help line number in Bangkok and ask. They are very helpful but it might be extremely difficult to get through at this late stage.

Both my last entry and Non-O M visa have expired during amnesty. Now I'm worried. I thought I could still get 60 days tomorrow. Could Ubon Joe weigh in on this please?

He did 60day visit wife. No letter required

I just got an embassy letter today coz I plan a 2 months extension of NON-O on the basis of supporting a Thai child. The UK embassy only gives letters for NON-O extensions so that's why I asked. Maybe it's only for certain types of NON-O? Confusing as ever.

EDIT - i sent a photo of my visa page, so the embassy knew i was going NON-O -> 2 month NON-O extension ie not from TV.

That is correct when applying for the 1-year extension for reason of marriage.

But although also 400K is needed when applying for the 1-year extension for reason of being the parent of a Thai child, there is no need for the 2-month seasoning of those funds and they only need to be on your personal thai bank-account at the moment of application.

    Hi Peter Denis

Quick question about the 400k not having to be seasoned for 2-months for parents of a Thai kid. Is that explicitly in the law or have you just heard accounts of this being the case? Could make a big difference for me. Thanks.

They are not open on Saturdays.

You will to take you child out of school long enough to be with you when you apply for a 60 day extension to visit your child.

    OK thanks.

Just as a follow-up, about 2 years or so ago I went to my local immigration office to get a 2 month extension for the same kind of visa but I didn't have the TM30. At that time, I paid an approx 2000Bt fine and got registered on their system and got the 2 months extension. This time when i try for a 2 month extension (different visa but same visa type), will the lack of a TM30 be a problem or can I just say "I'm already on your system at the same address" and it won't be a problem?

I know about the inconsistencies around different imm. offices, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows the actual law about this.

    Cheers!
