penang are still issuing them back to back if you have a WP,KL isn't

by the time you have finished messing around with paperwork/taxis/queing etc its not much different than going to one of the agents on Chulia St
i have just paid an additional 80MYR to have them sort my non-b,well worth it in my opinion

i can confirm you get a small sticker,I did anyway

you could just make it,including allowing time at both immigrations points in 2:30 hours but more like, traffic will be light at that time.

maybe try Penang, but go thorough one of the agents?

last month lots of people were denied on both the application and receiving day, they were looking at travel history very carefully...totally different to before
very few people there less than 150 on a Monday compared to the usual 500+
they appear to have gotten very strict...I would give it a wide berth at the moment

Should I be worried?
I was in Thailand once the year before(2018) 30 days VE + 4 days(but I had paid and extended for 1,900thb so no overstay). Other than that I have a passport full of stamps, I've been traveling pretty much 24/7 for the last 4 years. So it should be obvious I'm not here for any other purpose.
Would you suggest going to some other Embassy instead? Hanoi perhaps?
if you haven't been in Thailand in the last 6 months or so you will "probably" be ok

you can only book about 3 weeks in advance now..be aware though VTE is being ultra strict with Visas at present, never seen so many rejections on both submissions and pick up day....very few people going there compared to 6 months ago
If you have any sort of questionable history I wouldn't chance it, they seem to be going thorough passports and immigration history very carefully

Nongkhai looks an easy entry at the moment...I saw a guy refused a tourist visa in the consul in Vientiane(one of many)..and he was on the same queue in immigration as me and he got back in without issue
-
Put my application in yesterday for my Non-B in Vientiane, significantly less people there than normal especially for a Monday, applications checked thoroughly whatever type of visa you are applying for and a lot of people were clearly being refused.
No appointment and they won't entertain you so don't even try coming without one.
Things have really been toughened up.

No. Only bank statements/print outs are accepted.
If you can’t find a copy place in town you can get copies made at the Consular Section (embassy).
