Today I got my residence certificate for purpose of driving license at One Stop Service Center Chamchuri Square. Here is the whole process. Eligibility: Apparently if your visa issued at Chamchuri Square. In my case it was BOI visa. Then you can ask for resident certificate here. I'm not sure about others. Documents Needed: 1. Original passport 2. Copy of passport front page, visa page and last entry page 3. Filled Residence certificate form 4. Print of TM 30 PDF Steps: 1. Go to information counter 2. Handover your original passport along with above documents. 3. Officer will check and give you a token number. Then go to counter 10. 4. At counter 10. The officer will check documents. Officer will give you appointment slip to come collect residence certificate after 2 weeks. Fee: Free ( Yes, there is no fee. if you paid 500 thb in past. It was indirect bribe/corruption to get it in 1 hour.) Time: If all documents are in order you will spend less then 10 minutes. Collection: 2 weeks. Officer will give you a slip with a date mentioned. you need to come again on the mentioned date to collect resident certificate. I think for collection you can send anyone along with your original passport and date slip to collect the resident certificate. Ending note: 1. Residence certificate is free and there is no charge. 2. They do not issue residence certificate in 1 hour now-a-days. It take 2 weeks. 3. For both submission and collection original passport is must. Misc: 1. You can print your docs at one of counter. 5 THB per page. 2. There is a copy center too. 3. In Chamchuri Square, there is a shop near Daiso on 2nd floor which can take photo, copy and printing services. 4. Chamchuri Square is dead. Many shops are closed.

am curious how and when did they impose? did they come to your condo to fine? or you were fined when dealing with visa renewal/extension? Back story: my condo jurisdiction asking landlord for TM 30. Condo jurisdiction saying Govt Official coming to check.

Hey Everyone, We are living in a condo in Bangkok since 4+ years. First time, the condo jurisdiction asked me to provide the TM 30 form by September 20, 2024. Here's some info if it helps: We have Non-immigrant visa under BOI. Got visa at Chamchuri Square Bangkok. This Year, Iβve been in Thailand since March 2024, and last month, I was in Pattaya. I havenβt traveled anywhere else since then. I reached out to my landlord, and it appears that they never filed the TM 30 form. I have a few questions: Can the police or immigration authorities come to my condo to check for the TM 30? What are the implications if we donβt have the TM 30? Can I file the TM 30 form myself? Thanks in advance for your help!

Seems my employer missed to do 90 days report when getting visa. I still have the old paper which indicates 05-Aug-2024 as notify date. Does online portal shows what would be my 90 days report date? -
Not sure for specific occupation. I work for a big IT company which is under BOI. There are two types of tax rate first is progressive tax and second is 15% flat. In progressive tax rate, it is taxed slab wise. This can deduct upto 35% after couple of million THB. Higher the salary, higher taxes. About 15% flat rate. No matter how much you earn it will be taxed flat 15%. So lets assume monthly gross is 250K THB. Take home would be 212,500 THB after deducting 15% tax(37,500 THB).

Hi Everyone, I have a query regarding my tax situation after switching employers. From January to July, while working with Employer 1, I was under the progressive tax rate, and Employer 1 deducted tax based on this rate. The total tax deducted by Employer 1 is 650K THB for the entire year. Starting in August, I will be moving to Employer 2, where I will be under a flat 15% tax rate. If I calculate my tax based on this flat rate, it amounts to 480K THB. Seems, I have tax refund of 170K THB. Given that Employer 1 has already deducted tax based on the progressive rate, will I be eligible for a tax refund after I switch to the flat 15% rate? Thank you for your assistance.

Regarding Appointment for Visa Transfer
akda replied to akda's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My employer got back to me. They said they can not use this website as it is for individuals not for corporate. They have to book appointment through https://swe-expert.boi.go.th/SW-WEB/main.php As this one issues Digital Work Permit under BOI and it is corporate/company portal. Now my original question remains the same. -
Regarding Appointment for Visa Transfer

Thanks a ton. π«‘π I wasn't aware that this info is available to general public. Going to double check with new employer about securing the appointment and might escalate to upper level. -
Hi All, I am currently in the process of transferring my Non-Immigrant B visa from my current employer to my new employer, and my BOI position has been approved.β β My current employer has cancelledββ my visa/work permit, and I have received the void stamp. As a result, I can stay in Thailand until 19 July 2024. I received a call that they are awaiting an appointment with the One Stop Service Center at Chamchuri Square. My new employer is doing their best to secure the appointment. I have a few questions regarding the process: How does booking an appointment work? Does it open only for the next 2 weeks? What if no appointment is booked before 19 July 2024? If there are no slots available before 19 July, and the only available slots are between 24 to 29 July, can my visa/work permit still be processed by paying an overstay fee after 19 July? I appreciate your guidance and assistance in this matter.

akda posted a topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have spent good amount of time on https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/home_en/ and Google but could not find official holiday list for Bangkok immigration office. Could someone please share. I am specifically looking for holiday of July/August 2024 month. Thanks in advance π -
Our (Me, wife and kid) current Non Immigrant visa is being cancelled on 30 June (No chance of extension. Employer denied.) After that I have 7 days to leave the country. Nationality: Indian God plays in mysterious way. I have got job offer with another company in Bangkok. Formal offer has been sent on email. Lets assume I get official offer by end of next week, before 28 June. New company may take 2-3 weeks to process the visa on their end. Since I have to leave the country before 7 July. I believe, I have less time for switch/extend visa/workpermit to new company. π We are planning to fly βοΈβοΈ to Kualalumpur to get sticker tourist visa of 60 days and fly back to Thailand. π My question is once I re-enter Thailand with 60 days tourist sticker visa, can that be converted into Non-immigrant B (for me) and Non-immigrant O (wife and kids). π Is there anything I could plan better. πCould you please share you experience with Thai Embassy of Kualalumpur. βΉοΈIf it matters my current and future employer both are BOI listed. Visa and Work permits will be handled at One Stop Service Center, Chamchuri Square, Bangkok. βI can not do Laos border run, as I will be going with my wife and a toddler. Overnight van journey with toddler could be bit challenging and uncomfortable.

Currently I am in Bangkok on 30 days VOA with my wife and kid. I am about to get a job offer in couple of days. Can I get Non-immigrant B visa within Bangkok while being on VOA 30 days tourist. Basically I will be getting Non Immigrant B Visa. My wife and kid will be getting Non Immigrant O Dependent Visa. Is it possible to get above Non immigrant visa while being on Tourist Visa or I have to fly back to my home/nearby country. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
