Why wait? I never keep a single Satang or a single Sat on an exchange. Get it all off now.

Are you new to crypto? Unless you are trading crypto on a regular basis there is zero reason to leave it on a centralised exchange. Not your keys not your coins right? The whole point why crypto came about was to remove the dangers of counterparty risk, self custody in other words. This is the reason I ask if you are new to crypto, as someone who has a deeper understanding of the asset class would never really ask these questions. Not knocking you but you are asking questions related to counterparty risk. Get your crypto off and into a cold storage wallet, after which you don't even need to ask the questions you have asked. Same goes for your currency better in the bank than on the exchange.

If you are nervous about self custody don't be, it's super easy. If you have already taken the leap into crypto then learning how to use a Trezor or Ledger will be a doddle.  Don't wait for Bitkub to give you a headache.

not a newbie,  but I do swing trade,

keeping crypto in ledger or cold wallet isn't suitable for my case.

I just tried this and it worked in seconds. My KBank account received the amount as soon as I pressed confirm on my email. I got the email within minutes of setting up the transfer on the Bitkub web site and used Google 2fa.

I decided to transfer all my funds out of Bitkub since they are asking for KYC documents again or threatening to stop trading later in month December, I already went through that 2 years ago, and now the section for foreigners for KYC is blocked. I left 2THB in the Bitkub account but doubt I will use it again.

Looking for your opinion here please

I just withdrew my balance from Bitkub. The money was on my BBL account within a minute. Bitkub suspended my account yesterday, although I had sent them all documents. They never answered my messages.

you mean your account got suspended first and later you were able to withdraw all of your crypto and THB?

Now you are awaiting for reactivation of account?

  4. OP here.

I do swing trade. I have lot of liimit order for buy/sell.

Why bitkub? because I can directly withdrawal/deposit using THB.

No need to go through hassle of buying USDT by P2P. P2P seems scammers paradise.

To be specific my visa will expire in Aug 2024.

I do have equal holding with Bitkub, binance and kucoin.

1/3 of my holding is in Bitkub.

  5. My work permit and visa expires in next couple of months.

    I will be leaving Thailand.

Does bitkub ask you to reverify once your visa is expired.

In case my BitKub account gets suspended. Will I be able to withdrawal money in Thai Bank account. Can I still withdrawal my crypto.

What happens when your account is suspended.

    Just trying to safeguard.

  6. My company has terminated me and given notice of one month because of Poor/Low performance.

I am looking to reach labor court for Unfair dismissal.

    A little backstory:

    • I am with this company for last 6+ years.
    • I have not received  any written warning or notice about my performances.
    • I have got good ratings as well but never got promoted but after I got lower rating. They are quick to terminate.
    • The job which am doing is different than my actual job description. i.e I was hired for X technology but they making me work on Y technology.
    • I have not cause any damage to company in any way. It is just about performance.

    Looking for suggestion from community:

    • What should I do in this case?
    • Can I raise complain to Labor office myself or do I need to hire a lawyer?
    • Can I complain to Labor office after termination? Or do we have to be employed when raising complaint?
    • Company agrees to pay severance as per law. But still it is clearly case of Unfair Dismissal.
    • Can reach labor court even after receiving severance pay? I am mainly looking at continuous service in a different team where my skill can be better utilized.
    • How long does it typically takes?

    Thanks for any insight

All of what you have said is entirely secondary to the topic of wrongful dismissal in Thailand.

If the example i did not edit out of your post happened in Thailand, you would have moved on with a decent payout. As a personal example  prime  example out of this. I worked for years for a company at a very decent salary. That company was bought by a US multinational. They laid plans to outsourced my job 2 years after  taking over.

Because they had no grounds to let me go, they asked me to resign. I refused. Not because I wanted to stay, but because I knew they would have to settle. They did and I also "moved on" with the equivalent of a few years salary in my pocket.

After that I actually ended up working with them as an independent contractor doing far less for more money for another 2 years.  I have never worked for another company since, though i still work with many companies on my own terms, but that is not the point.

The point is you have excellent recourse against wrongful dismissal in Thailand if you understand your rights.

    Glad to hear this.

I am in similar situation, It will be great if you could share some insights.

Can it be done by employee or we need to hire a lawyer?

Was sending a notification by lawyer was more than enough?

Could you please share how much it costed you to hire lawyer? (if you hired)

How many days it took in total?

Any do's and don'ts? Any additional tips?

I was the MD of a US Thailand subsidiary company for a while and had to go to the Labour Court a couple of times. I always found them to be fair in both directions. I had to let go a couple of employees: one was refusing to work and we reached a settlement with her at the Labour department (an initial step before going to court); the other was falsifying delivery records and sued us when we fired him - we countersued for damages in the same amount and he ended up getting nothing.

Does 2nd employee had to pay you any money?

In any case, employee need not to pay anything to employer, right?

  9. Hey Everyone,

Currently am having some issues with Employer. There could be possible unfair dismissal. Since the case is going on and keeps on escalating to various departments.

Am looking to explore legal options in advance. Lookin for input from someone who has gone through the process.

    • Has anyone been in similar situation recently? How you dealt with it?
    • Does complaining to Labor Department helps? Share your experience with Labor Department.
    • Can I represent case by myself or is it mandatory to hire a Thai Lawyer?
    • Timeline? How long it took to get resolution?
    • Expected expense

Thank you for your time and assistance.

just go away dude, you're contributing nothing to either this discussion or any other post for that matter.

agree, why is he even following the crypto thread.

@Lemsta69I got the email you posted above.

As I see situation is not that bad, and users are not locked out of fund like Celsius or Vauld.

I had nothing in ZipUp+ so bit safe. I never trust these lending platforms as I do swing trading.

With Zipmex I have received fiat in my bank account.

Also I have withdrawal all of my crypto to a wallet. To be on safer side. I will be moving to bitkub for time being.

"How safe our funds are with Zipmex in case things go other way? How much protection does Thai Laws provide?

What are the power and limitations of SEC in this regard?"

Why are these questions being asked now? Due diligence before investing is wise.

If your crypto is stored on zipmex and they have frozen withdrawals then afraid you will probably have to wait for legal proceedings to evolve or when Zipmex allow withdrawals again, who knows how long that will take, maybe you should be asking Zipmex help center.

well this forum is to ask question. nothing wrong in asking.

Also a crypto investor knows the risk and they are willing to take it. We know "Invest only what we can afford to lose".

  12. Update on case:

Save yourself. Do not go to DMK or BKK airport. Ground staff can not do anything. They will just redirect you to reach customer care online -> to AVA BOT. There is only one option is to chat, no call option at all.

Apparently reaching to customer care is hidden. It was shared by AirAsia Facebook page after lot of tagging for 3-4 days.

To reach customer care. Follow these step by step in AVA bot:

    1. Type - > Change Email

    2. You will receive some automatic messages. Do not do anything until you see `Talk to allstar` button. At the end there will be a button `Talk to allstar`. Click on it.

    3. Enter details as asked.

    4. Then you will be in queue. Mine queue number was 250+. I had to wait 2+ hour to reach an agent. Finally I had chat with agent.

    5. They understood my case. It took 5 days but I got my money as AirAsia Credit Account which can be used to book flight on AirAsia in future.

It was a long shot, hectic, hidden, super slow and frustrating.  But It is what it is.

  13. Trust me, reaching Mars seems easy, then try contacting representatives of airasia live or human interaction.

WAs trying to book AirAsia flights from Bangkok to Phuket.
When booking, it shows payment failed, I checked email and credit card transaction to confirm, no transaction.
I needed to book, so I decided to book again, this time the booking was successful.
The next day when I checked my email and credit card transactions, I saw it billed me twice, now I have a double booking on the same day.
I tried contacting Air Asia customer service but I can't reach. I tried facebook, whatsapp, line and twitter but no response, every time the AVA bot replies and to no avail.
Customer care number can record messages only.

I would like to know what are my options? Lodge police complaint or is there any consumer protection board?

Not based on previous reports I read which bbko seems to confirm

    I have non-imm B visa.

I do have DL from home country which is valid, even in case of redoing whole process. I think online test and driving test isn't needed.
Just watching the video, doing other test shall be enough.

  15. missed to renew mine driving license from 2 year to 5 year. Due to covid closure and all that DLT APP drama, there was a time when office was completely closed and they stopped processing applications from expats.

Currently I have expired 2 year driving license

    1. Can I still renew to 5 year with expired driving license?

    2. Do I need to watch video again?

    3. How long it takes now-a-days?

  16. hey folks,

So I have account with Zipmex. As you know we have to go through their verification process. Long story short my details are already verified.

But when am trying to withdrawal money to my approved bank account. They asking to verify again.

Has it happened with anyone else? How was your withdrawal experience with Zipmex.

I used Cointracker to automatically track across wallets and exchanges but it had lots of bugs. Tried Koinly and it massively wrong reported from the getgo.  Also Coinstats but that also does not report things like DeFi submissions correctly but is my current fav.

will try these, was looking for something like this.

doing manually in excel is pain in a**.

  18. Hey Crypto Folks,

    I use Binance and Zipmex.

But it is very hard to keep track principal investment and PNL. Especially when you are doing DCA.

I know we can check Order Summary and Wallet History.  But it is very hard to track your actual invested value and PNL.

Even the data provided in excel sheet is cluttered.

How do you keep track of it? Any suggestion?

For example am looking for something which shows invested amount and PNL like this for each coin

    Coin: BTC

    Invested Amount: 2000$

    Average buying price: 28000$

    Current Amount: 2200$

    PNL : + 10%
