Hello. I just arrived in CM and I am hoping to have my Visa exemption converted to a ED visa by the language school. The manager at the school requested that I provider her with a TM30 as soon as I find a place to live, however, the landlord said I dont need one since I don't have a Visa, yet. Who is right here? I have a feeling the landlord is.

does anyone know how far out you can apply before your flight? Is 3 weeks to a month too much time or a good idea so you can correct a rejection? -

The LUMA Thailand pass is really expensive, like 1000 USD a year. Do you know of any cheaper options? Geo blue is like 250 for 6 months but I cant renew it in Thailand.... -

Oh, I wasn't aware of this. Plus some of the other policies are really expensive. The LUMA policy is like 1000 USD a year. So you don't have insurance Im assuming? -

Im really not worried about potentially testing positive while being asymptomatic and heres why: First, Im fully vaccinated, so the general likely hood of me contracting it is slim. The only possibility is contracting it on the flight and then testing positive at HKT.... Second, theres no reason I will get tested again after the Sandbox, unless I voluntarily test myself. So, in the case that I voluntarily get tested, it will be because I was showing symptoms, and therefor wont be asymptomatic. The insurance is just because it's required and I dont want to break the law. The likelihood of me using it is is null. I mean, how else might I encounter a mandatory test after the Sandbox? -

I would personally like to carry it because it is a requirement "for the duration of your stay" (in Thailand). It's also very affordable, or at least GEO BLUE is... Or is there something I am missing??? -
Any recommendations as to where I can purchase $100,000 covid insurance while INSIDE of Thailand? I am getting a GEO BLUE policy for 6 months but I can only renew it if I am in the US!!! PS: I love covid, this is so much fun.....

Thats like straight discrimination. Im sorry to hear that mate. I can tell you they also require you to purchase it BEFORE you can get your COE pre approved. I am only going to be purchasing 1 month of coverage for the application and then buying the rest of the coverage AFTER i get my COE.

I can go by car/bus and the answer is yes. I just had to look around the website. You don't need to leave by air or have a departure ticket to book swabs. -

OK thank you. But, do I need a departure flight to book the swabs? It looks like I may need one. If yes do you book a flight out on the 8th day or what? -

Do you have to fly out of Phuket? Also could you tell me what the SHABA cert is? Do you get it if you book directly with the hotel or do you have to use some site? -
