Bwaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaa a few self appointed expert academics trying to get their name in the news. A bit too late to turn back now, and about 7000 lawsuits waiting to be launched at the Government if they try. What a mess, then again it is Thailand so what would one expect, planning and common sense ๐๐๐๐๐

Ha nightmare time. I get it with importing stuff all the time mainly with Fed Ex. But my Thai PA rings them and they change it to his name, problem solved.
It seems hit and miss. UPS are shockers though and appear to make up the rules as they go along.
If you didnโt pay any duty when you bought the phone, you can expect a hefty duty charge.- 2

Ha ha ha after countless fools were dudded into a worthless virtue signalling dream, now even the manufacturers are giving up on the farce. ICE is here to stay for a long yet. Good luck when it comes to to trade or buy your next battery. ๐๐๐๐๐๐

Any vehicle not passing the emissions test is off the road.
Includes all vehicles.
It is Thailand. A sneaky few hundred baht will ensure any vehicle is compliantย

Oh the farcical nonsense and dribble is endless. A quick glance at the rubbish and plastic basically anywhere and everywhere in Thailand reveals that nobody really gives a toss about the environment. Never have, never will ๐

5 hours ago, Nordic summer said:It was very disrespectful of this passenger to publicly voice his opinion, given that he/she/they most certainly don't have a clue as to what it takes to plan and execute such a flight in a responsible manner.
Myself having had the privilegeย of being a passenger of Thai Airlines, is left with a bad taste in my mouth just reading about it
ย
Some(westerners) will say the airline displays an"fragile ego" by instigating this lawsuit, but please take a moment to compare the service and attention that you receive while traveling with Thai Airlines to ANY European company.
ย
They work very hard to provide a pleasant experience for their passengers and I am sure they are very proud of their prowess, so it should come as no surprise that this company got upset about this passenger's outburst.
Are you delusional? It is not a privilege to fly with Thai airways at all. They have progressively gotten worse since bad management forced them into near bankruptcy. I fly regularly business class BKK Melbourne return. Only use them because they are direct. The arrogance of them suing a passenger has lost me. From now on I will fly Vietnam airways and do the HCMC stop over. They are a far better better planes and service anyway. In typical Thai fashion the Thai Airways slipped from 10th best in the world to 40th and they think they have the right to sue people ๐๐๐๐๐๐

Meh. He has only signed a proposal. It still has to go through parliament. Itโs Thailand lots of chasing their own tails in circles to go yet.

It will never change and some Thai UN associated academic isnโt going to make any difference. At the end of the day most rural Thaiโs are shocking drivers and just donโt give a toss. Sabai sabai

Untouchable, it is Thailand. Nothing will change until they absolutely sell it all
to UN and WEF control and the digital currency comes. Then it will get even worse.

Why would they. It is within Thailandโs (not the consumers) best interest to ensure a majority on the cars on the road are made in Thailand.
Years ago the governmentโs initiative was to be the most successful car manufacturer in Asia and incentivised the Eastern Seaboard region. The govt wants 100% of cars on the road to be made in Thailand and if you want to opt against a local purchase they have set duties on imports accordingly.
I paid 50% more for my imported car than what I can buy it for in my home country, but thatโs my choice.
Maybe not a good one !
Countries like Africa should capitalise on the used Japan market but often countries like this are too corrupt to even facilitate such a process.
I have a friend that imported a Ford Mustang and never cleared it as the red tape and fees were 3 times the value of the car. My guess is that it is sitting in a Thaiโs muscle car collection somewhere
ย
I bought a blue Mustang in Bangkok last year. It RH drive and was imported from the UK. Triple the price of the cost in UK, Aussie, or USA. Maybe itโs your friends abandoned car ๐

Meh - Thailand, guess we will see. Like most Thai politicians this new Prime Minister doesnโt seem overly active in the common sense and brain cell departments.
