And at last we have what we all knew was bound to happen. Hope you're all happy now knowing what your fear mongering has done 555 - absolutely astounding

To quote the words of a non-conformist, forward thinker John Lydon (was Rotten) . . .

"And blind acceptance is a sign, of stupid fools who stand in line"

Enjoy lying in your beds that you have not only made for yourselves, but everyone else. Some people only realise when its too late, the rest of us can see whats coming yet get accused of being CT's haha

    Well said.

  2. I'm shocked at the rose coloured glasses and wishful thinking of people on here. Sorry to break your bubbles: First Thailand's tourism was declining before the chinese C-19 virus so always remember that. Second just look to the UK because we are now looking at lockdown till at least July 17th I think and that also like every other date may well be moved further away. Third long hall travel will not be very tempting.

Yeah. Right you are... or 1000 baht on-the-spot fine which goes in my pocket, and don't do it again...

    Same as usual.

I'm sure if you revved any diesel vehicle more than a few months old in Thailand you will get a below of black smoke, I've owned 2 diesel vehicles from new in thailand and they were well serviced and they all bellowed black smoke when revved hard strange is my 5 year old diesel 4 in the uk has never bellowed black smoke.

Silly... education is not only done at school but also at home... Parents who become teachers???  I think it is the duty of parents to guide and teach their children all the time... so need to refund school fees... It is just bad luck for the parents. Sometimes you win sometimes you loose

Really? There is a big difference from helping with homework and guiding your children than doing the job of teacher. First there is routine, allocation of time because you basically become a teaching assistant (in the UK they are paid £30k plus). It is ok helping out in a crisis for a few days or a week but doing it for months is wrong on so many levels. I am a believer in if you work you get paid for it. I see this as you boss telling you, we are struggling so you will have to work for free while he takes delivery of his new luxury car and jets off for his holidays.

Like anything in life, you get what you pay.

Really! Isn't the cheapest quarantine hotel up at 40,000baht? A room with an old 500baht fan, No T.V, No Air Con, No fridge etc... That is not even a 500baht a night room and looks more like a 200baht room or less. I personally think it's disgusting even in the second photo. Even prisoners in the UK are far better looked after and I believe the going rate of £2,000 compensation for having to slip out.

Re: "Both organisations have evaluated Thailand in "not high burden and not growing" countries, thanks to people's cooperation to contain the spread of the virus", Mondej said.

Unfortunately we have low-end falang walking along Pattaya Beach road between 5 pm to 7 pm shirtless, no masks, no social distancing at a time when the beach is most crowded. No cooperation and completely oblivious to their surroundings. The same type of people who intentionally remove or adjust their masks as  soon as theey pass shopping mall security. This behaviour only infuriates Thais and adds fire to the tightening of immigration laws.

And that attitude is why Thailand was hemorrhaging western tourists and expats before The Chinese Covid 19 virus. What an unbelievable statement.

  7. Many years ago I worked with their elite and I was not impressed and they couldn't even finish a run but mind you I wasnt impressed with the American 1st sgt who couldn't finish the run (only 3 out of usa platoon finished) but boy he really new how to tear a live chickens throat out with his teeth....

The question is why would he want to do it unless it's a swap/share attachment And, 24hrs without sleep when was that a military hard ship? Is the Thai special forces now more enduring than american GB's? I'm sure his endurance wasnt stretched or it shouldn't have been.

  8. I was told many years ago by a girl who had worked in a casino in Bangkok and I thought mom and pop type and she said no, the real deal with proper roulette tables etc. She said there were many in Bangkok she new of: they were run by Army/military and police. I asked if they ever got raised and she said yes but always told well in advance. This was when someone was head of the army. You dont become billionaires of a modest salary however these guys all manage to surpass all their salaries, pay for millions for their promotions.
