I'm shocked at the rose coloured glasses and wishful thinking of people on here. Sorry to break your bubbles: First Thailand's tourism was declining before the chinese C-19 virus so always remember that. Second just look to the UK because we are now looking at lockdown till at least July 17th I think and that also like every other date may well be moved further away. Third long hall travel will not be very tempting.

SNP are on a roll, big wins coming for them in May and then Indy2......all thanks to Johnson's total arrogance and dismissive approach to the other three nations.....he never has been and never will be a leader in any real sense of the word.
His lasting legacy will be the destruction of the Union.
I think you might be wrong. Living in Scotland and talking to people who were once very nationalistic are now very anti snp. The problem is the SNP are very much like the nazi party were, they form in packs and attack any one who disagrees with their lunacy. People when asked polling questions by tartan clad AH. tend to nod and agree. It can also be very intimidating voting here as there is a pack of SNP supporters illegally outside polling station doors. For 14 years they have blamed westminster for everything and people now are not accepting the excuse. Plus scandal is at their door at every turn from lying corruption and thieving of billions in Covid relief money.

Have you ever lived in Thailand? I've yet to meet someone in thailand who has not heard of it and especially in bangkok hasn't ever been there. In its hay day you could literally get anything their from live snakes to high end gold and silver. It is worth a day out.

Again the grasping of the magic vaccine because now that its rolling out the Guinea pigs are being told you can still carry the virus so get back in your hutches like good sheeple. The vaccine is and never has been the answer "Herd Immunity" is and always has been the answer. Well done countries like Sweeden.

Same as usual.
I'm sure if you revved any diesel vehicle more than a few months old in Thailand you will get a below of black smoke, I've owned 2 diesel vehicles from new in thailand and they were well serviced and they all bellowed black smoke when revved hard strange is my 5 year old diesel 4 in the uk has never bellowed black smoke.

I remember on Kow Tow there was a little bar right across the road well more like a path and it sold magic mushroom shakes etc and if I remember it was owned by the police big wig. Always been the police and army do as they like and the unconnected are crucified.

And there you have it! The big con goes on. Everyone was led to believe getting the vaccine would = normality what a lie that was. Looks like the uk under lockup till earliest 17th June (15th February was an other lie). We hear herd immunity a phrase used in the very beginning and dismissed in favour of lockup. So dear Thailand stop thinking that a vaccine is the light as there is no light. Looks like Sweeden has had the right idea from the start. This begs the question why risk a vaccine that's been rushed out in months and not years? What are the benifits because now all I see is the risks.

Silly... education is not only done at school but also at home... Parents who become teachers??? I think it is the duty of parents to guide and teach their children all the time... so need to refund school fees... It is just bad luck for the parents. Sometimes you win sometimes you loose
Really? There is a big difference from helping with homework and guiding your children than doing the job of teacher. First there is routine, allocation of time because you basically become a teaching assistant (in the UK they are paid £30k plus). It is ok helping out in a crisis for a few days or a week but doing it for months is wrong on so many levels. I am a believer in if you work you get paid for it. I see this as you boss telling you, we are struggling so you will have to work for free while he takes delivery of his new luxury car and jets off for his holidays.

The situation in Thailand is ridiculous. Thailand a country so corrupt and backward it cannot sort its infrastructure out. Water management is far more essential than submarines and military hardware. Every year money thrown at these problems just vanishes accomplishing nothing. It's as if you can hear them "Ah! It's raining, where is that money it's time to buy a new Mercedes or Ah! It's stopped raining, where is that money time to buy a new Mercedes ".

Like anything in life, you get what you pay.
Really! Isn't the cheapest quarantine hotel up at 40,000baht? A room with an old 500baht fan, No T.V, No Air Con, No fridge etc... That is not even a 500baht a night room and looks more like a 200baht room or less. I personally think it's disgusting even in the second photo. Even prisoners in the UK are far better looked after and I believe the going rate of £2,000 compensation for having to slip out.

Feeling the LOVE use dirty Farangs!!! I just do not comprehend how anyone would even consider retirement in Thailand. When you get older the most important thing for you is security but in thailand you never have that. One minute all is ok and the next a new law, a new regulation or even someone connected falling out with you and your out!

Re: "Both organisations have evaluated Thailand in "not high burden and not growing" countries, thanks to people's cooperation to contain the spread of the virus", Mondej said.
Unfortunately we have low-end falang walking along Pattaya Beach road between 5 pm to 7 pm shirtless, no masks, no social distancing at a time when the beach is most crowded. No cooperation and completely oblivious to their surroundings. The same type of people who intentionally remove or adjust their masks as soon as theey pass shopping mall security. This behaviour only infuriates Thais and adds fire to the tightening of immigration laws.
And that attitude is why Thailand was hemorrhaging western tourists and expats before The Chinese Covid 19 virus. What an unbelievable statement.

First I do not believe these figures and any foreigner who has used a thai hospital knows your bill is paid before you leave and if you do a runner police are informed you are stopped when leaving the country. So I call B.S. on this. However, knowing Thai mentality I can see there being a lot of Thais not paying when they are responsible for accidents involving tourists but then again would a tourist be released from hospital without paying is very, very unlikely.

Many years ago I worked with their elite and I was not impressed and they couldn't even finish a run but mind you I wasnt impressed with the American 1st sgt who couldn't finish the run (only 3 out of usa platoon finished) but boy he really new how to tear a live chickens throat out with his teeth....
The question is why would he want to do it unless it's a swap/share attachment And, 24hrs without sleep when was that a military hard ship? Is the Thai special forces now more enduring than american GB's? I'm sure his endurance wasnt stretched or it shouldn't have been.

I was told many years ago by a girl who had worked in a casino in Bangkok and I thought mom and pop type and she said no, the real deal with proper roulette tables etc. She said there were many in Bangkok she new of: they were run by Army/military and police. I asked if they ever got raised and she said yes but always told well in advance. This was when someone was head of the army. You dont become billionaires of a modest salary however these guys all manage to surpass all their salaries, pay for millions for their promotions.

People who say things like " why not", "I got nothing to hide" or " it will only help" and "but other apps already do it" do not deserve any form of privacy and dont cry when you realise big brother is watching your every move and reward will be given for being a good citizen and those deemed bad citizens will be punished. Never, ever would I down load one of these apps. There are stories in the uk of people just passing a shop and then being notified they must quarantine for 2 weeks or else!!!
