Yeah, I check everyday. (To be honest a few times every day). The application went from pending document check to pending approval a few days ago so I assumed the document approval stage was complete.

I am still waiting for my Visa approval after after 14 days. Does anyone know if there is a backlog at the moment?

I don't recall what was left in the account but pretty sure it was in excess of 2000 so will find out when I visit the branch. Thanks

Thanks for the advice Dr Jack. I will try the bank without the COR initially and see what they say. Any idea of the cost of an agent obtaining a COR?

No transactions on the account at all for 7 years so probably closed due to inactivity!

Regarding the certificate of residence (COR). Is my understanding correct, that all I need to obtain the COR is a lease agreement and a TM30? I will be staying in Jomtien. Do I just turn up at the immigration office and wait my turn? I hold an account with Kasikorn that hasn’t been used for approx. 7 years. There is probably 2-3000 baht in the account and I still have the debit card that expired 6 years ago so my plan is to try them first.

I will post the result, time taken and other info when I get the notification.

Hi I was planning to enter Thailand on a 60-day visa exemption stamp before applying to convert to a Non Imm O visa. I am now reading from several posts that I won’t be able to open a bank account when I arrive so no way of depositing the 800k Bht. I have decided to apply for a 90-day single entry non imm O in the UK. I set up the online account and filled in the first couple of pages but before I move forward, I have the following questions. It asked for an address and contact number. If I put a hotel address down, would I need to upload proof of booking confirmation later in the application? Would I need to upload flight booking conformation? (I have not booked yet as still finalizing my plans) I understand that utility bills are required for proof of address. Is this correct? I understand that bank statements need to be provided. How many months? Would statements in my name but from an address different to utility bill proof of address be acceptable? I can provide statements from the same address as my utility bills but the balances were low and I only increased them with transfers last week, however I have an offshore account registered at a different address that has sufficient funds over a long period of time. Any idea what the turn-around time is for the application? Any other information on documentation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Dr Jack when you say that "for extension money in bank account does not need to be shown to have come from abroad". Does this apply on the initial application for a 90-day Non Imm O Visa for reason of retirement?
