Grateful to anyone in Udon Thani who has experience of reading glasses from an Optician who I understand is located in Prime Square. I think the shop goes by the name of Optics. I have spent thousands of THB at different TOP CHAREON shops which has not resulted in achieving comfortable reading.
Saw a YOUTUBE video from the Issan Farang yesterday where he mentions this shop but cannot now find the paricular video.
Grateful for any help that can be provided.

Even if Thailand as a whole is covid-19 free, even if there is no quarantine, the vast majority of Thailand tourists from outside Thailand wont be coming anytime soon, it's a question of economics. When lockdown gets lifted abroad the last thing on an employers mind is to give people holidays and the last thing on an employees mind is finding the money he hasn't got to go on holiday. People are in debt, they are worried about whether they still have a job or whether they are going to be evicted from their homes. Consolidation of personal finances and keeping in employment are going to be uppermost on peoples minds. The UK, (2 trillion pounds worth of debt) and probably others, will be raising taxes further minimising disposable income on top of personal credit card debt which people have had to accrue during lockdown. Wait a few years Thailand, no doubt tourism will pick up again but you have a long haul in front of you.
The most well balanced and thoughtful posting I have read on this particular subject to date.

There must be one or two cruise liners idle so why not position them just inside UK territorial waters in the Channel and then all the 'illegals' could be taken to it and processed. Genuine refugees could then be taken to a central holding area in UK and dispersed around the country. This way we would ensure that Non refugees are not allowed to disappear once reaching UK soil.
The remainder would be taken to an airport and put on a flight and returned to their country of origin.
No doubt the lefties will shout 'what about their human rights' but we should ignore them.

Will Boris Johnson fold before 31st Dec and ask for an extension so he can continue to negotiate for a soft exit? Will wager that he will swallow his pride and relent. For now it seem quite worrisome for UK economy with no concluded trade deals with US, fall-out with China and not much to show on bilateral trade agreements.
In your dreams!

I'm trying to remember - did the Brexit referendum say ''do you want to leave the EU without any deal'' (or to put it in realistic terms - ''without any idea of where we're going to?'') Because you are daydreaming to think that the UK can cherry pick its terms of departure, contrary to its contractual obligations under the 2019 MOU. It is laughable (actually patethic) that 'Great' Britain now needs to adopt the trade deal of one of its former colonies. Reality will hit when UK is forced to join WTO trading rules. Further, assuming you understand Article 50, the UK is now excluded from internal negotiations between the EU and its member states. You are on your own (to paraphrase Merkle).
That means any terms you look for need to be approved by 100% of the 20+ EU member countries.
Which is why, historically trade deals between the EU and non-EU states take between 4 and 9 years.
The Swiss signed their first framework agreement with the EU back in 1972. After entering into 100 bilateral treaties to deal with particular issues and they are still negotiating.
The Lords EU Committee said - determining the rights of two million UK nationals living in the EU would be a "complex and daunting" part of exit talks.
Lads, ''taking back control'' was a con job by the elite, in order to avoid getting their offshore tax shelters caught by the new EU tax avoidance rules.
Shows how little you know. By former colonies I am guessing you are referring to Australia. If so, to enhance your limited knowledge, Australia does not have a trade deal with the EU and I quote the
EU trade chief: ‘Australia-style’ Brexit agreement means no deal
‘We do not have an agreement with Australia,’ Phil Hogan says.

Looking to buy a car, but which one? Budget 800,000 cash.
Had vios, city almera and yaris suggested,
Almera and yaris on paper would seem under-powered.
Not much to choose between vios or city except many service points for vios.
I know zilch about cars so any recommendation within my budget would be appreciated
Thank you

I was deeply concerned when I read that BLM stated that Lord Baden Powell was a Nazi.. so I had a quick nosey around & found this.. a few facts that BLM seem to like to ignore...BLM claim that Robert Baden-Powell, war hero and founder of the Scouts, was a Nazi-sympathiser - his statue MUST come down! Right?Well, no actually, such a statement is wrong. He wasn't a Nazi-sympathiser, he was actually considered an enemy of the Nazis, and by the Nazis themselves! Let's explore why there's this misconception about him...The two specific allegations I've seen levelled at Baden-Powell are:1. He supported Hitler2. He used Swastikas on Scout badgesLet's deal with these individually.Lord Baden-Powell read Mein Kampf, a popular book by a world leader, and he commented that he thought Hitler made good points about things like education, health, organisation etc - all things that actually relate to the Scout movement.I understand he later 'revised his opinion' before his death in 1941.2. The Scouts first used the Swastika in 1908. The Nazis first used the Swastika over a decade later in 1920. After Hitler seized power the Scouts dropped the symbol.Remember: the Swastika was a popular symbol in Britain decades before the Nazis existed. The Swastika was originally (and is still) an Indian symbol of peace, important in religions like Hinduism and Buddhism, dating back over 10,000 years. Because Britain's Empire included India, the Swastika became an iconic symbol and was used in architecture, on wedding dresses and famously on the spines and covers of Rudyard Kipling's books.PLUS - on top of all of this - it's really important to note that Baden-Powell was actually blacklisted by the Nazis - he was considered an enemy of the Nazis, by the Nazis themselves! The Scouts were banned in Germany and in 1940 he was listed in the 'Black Book', which listed the names of all the men and women to be immediately arrested upon a Nazi invasion of Britain. Baden-Powell was an influential figure - if he really was a Nazi sympathiser why would the Nazis have wanted him put away?So there you have it. This push to remove Baden-Powell's statue demonstrates perfectly why iconoclasm is so dangerous: destructive groups rashly demand the removal of art and weak authorities authorise it - both groups have lost sight of the truth. It takes years to create, but only seconds to destroy.I was pleased that the inhabitants of Poole had more concern for this particular statue than the weak and gutless UK Government -I say this albeit I am a Conservative supporter - and prevented the removal of this particular part of England's heritage.ReplyForward- 5

Having bought the mower I am not sure as to which engine oil to use. The booklet says SAE 30/10W30 or 40. But the later on says that SAE30 may cause hard starts. It also says that using 10W30 may cause the excessive use of engine oil.
Can anyone advise please.

If the plane had been trailing 'Black Lives Matter' there would have been no comment! However it's gone beyond the concerns of the Black community and tree huggers and a small cabal of marxists have hijacked the cause for their own political ends.

The FA rule on slogans etc reads: 'Slogans, Statements, Images and Advertising
Equipment must not have any political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images. Players must not reveal undergarments that show political, religious personal slogans, statements or images, or advertising other than manufacturers logo.' For any offence the player and/or the team will be sanctioned by the competition organiser, national football association or to be justified by FIFA.
So when can we expect the sanction applied to all the soccer teams in the UK who have removed the players name from the back on the shirt and displayed 'Black Lives Matter'. I won't be holding my breath!

Appreciate info on possibility of finding Glucosamine in Thailand. It has to be without shellfish. Checked various sites on web but none indicate product is without shellfish. If anyone has a similar requirement and they purchased it in Thailand, I would be grateful for info of name of company. I have asked in 5 different pharmacies but the the pharmacist are unaware that the product contains shellfish.
Thank you

This guy who's wife had symptoms drove to isolate in a house nearby extended family, so that if they were to become seriously unwell the extended family could look after their child. They were in a separate property and had food placed on the door step - Domonic Cummings executed common sense.
London to Durham is about 4 to 4.5 hours drive the press headline is a hyperbolae and tells us all we need to know about the exaggeration and bias in what seems to be a witch-hunt.
Don't let crappy press politics get in the way of what is really a 'non-story' - which is someone ensuring they had their bases covered while self quarantining.
110%! shows how left wing most of the media is in UK. Boris should ignore them and get on with job he was elected by a massive majority to do.

Fresh cuts. The brand is Bangkok Bob. I don't know if they are in Bangkok but I assume. I'm in Khon Kaen and they have had them in stock over the last two weeks with regular restocking. Nice.
I went to Big C in Khon Kaen yesterday and was unable to locate this beef. Is it on display under the name of Bangkok Bob or do I have to ask for said beef?
Thanks
