  1. ..Thailand's fight with never ending corruption continues.

That's what they said 30 years ago when I first came here and Phuket was a sleepy tourist town with cashew nut farms.

Good to see they have life guards as Phuket is incredibly dangerous for weak swimmers from China and Russian who have never seen coastline before. Imagine them in real  surf with 2 metre waves rolling down!!

Australians laugh at Phuket (surf) they call it a wading pool.

Wait for the next scandal involving life saving funds going missing before next Songkran festival.

The Americans are still in Iraq and Afghanistan with no end in sight.

Trillions of Pentagon dollars gone .

  3. I've seen all of SEA Asia and its mostly an open rubbish tip. Try the bus trip up the spine of Asia from PP to Vientiane .Never seen a broom &tray.

Cambodia and Laos are waiting for foreigners to pay for the clean up.

Thailand's bad news but Cambodia is disgraceful.

Any award for cleanliness and the environment is farcical.

Just another photo op for corrupt ASEAN officials.

    Something to show the grandkids.

  4. Glorified systems managers most of them. They get all sorts  of perks.

Australian airline pilots went on strike when Labor Kingpin BobHawke was PM back in the eighties.

Sacked the lot of them. Spoiled brats with some of the best working  conditions in the world and simply wanted more.

It costs a fortune to maintain and keep planes safe.Pilots don't have to pay for it. They get driven to and from luxuryhotels and airports in courtesy cars, discount holidays, plenty of time off even running private businesses on the side.

BritishAirways aka BOAC went bust years ago.

What's going to happen when 10'000s of Chinese pilots graduate from their acadamies shortly?

I am ex UK lived in NZ for 30+yrs. NZ will do a deal with UK no problem. UK will buy our lamb, beef, cheese, roan pressed Posum, honey, wine & shell fish. And Australia, Canada, India, West Indies for Sugar etc. We do not need Europe, they need us.

    Possum, sugar from Canada?

Whatever you're smoking can I buy a kilo of it?

This topic has nothing to do with Canada or Australia which are two of the worlds highest GDP economies.

NZ GDP is somewhere down with Cambodia or Vietnam.
