My post bit off topic. Hoping someone can confirm or clarify.
The gf is telling me that just now that Bumrungrad is offering Moderna for alternative 2nd jab.
It's on their net page.
I would not mind to pay the 20-30$ for a real vaccine, so long as the injection procedure around will not cost 200$ on top for Farang.

Did anybody tell these people that the vast majority of Thai people do not want Asstra Zeneca or the Chinese soup. They want Pfizer or Moderna. They are waiting for that. When will these corrupt folks give up their backhanders long enough for the country to regain its health?
It is never good if the population can read and write. Look 500 years back, how easy the catholic church could lead the people from the pulpit.
Seems that the responsible think themselves Thailand is a flat earth, which then would explain also many other things here, where we western have the lag of knowledge in Thai science and law of nature, if true.

Just where are all these jabs coming from? Pfizer is coming out with the pills and booster jabs. Do you think it is a good time to buy some shares in Pfizer? or wait for the Chinese copies to crush them?
It is always good to invest into a pharma ETF. There is never a bad economy for them.

64 million = the population.
200 million additional "doses".
64 million x 2 = 128 million.
200 - 128 = 72 million extra doses
Plus the millions of doses already administered = too many questions.
The rest is for the new holiday with vaccination plan for the tourist,
but it is top secret up to know. Maybe other countries would copy

So, Thailand on the footpath of Israel... ????
Despite (or because of?) vaccinations, numbers will very likely go up after the 2nd shot, and similar to drug addicts, vaccine takers will require to get their subscription shots every 4-6 months, next to the 2x-daily Pfizer pills the company is currently preparing, and of course - due to sheer mathematical reasons! - every time injectionists receive one of these shots, the likelihood having to experience one of the adverse effects is increasing significantly. ???? Tell me when I'm wrong.
Of course none of the media scientists, journalists, politicians etc. are saying that - neither in Thailand, nor anywhere else.
Why doesn't Thailand take the alternative, more rational route, like governments did in Sweden, and soon Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Romania, plus on top: do the sensible thing and promote healthy nutrition, exercise, healthy living? Next to 'classic' and traditional approaches not involving mrna vaccines. This wouldn't seem to make any negative difference, but is even likely to help to reach 'real' herd immunity.
If a military is on power, he just calculate the collateral damage of life lost which is actually official around +-1% of all cases.
The rest get nature immunity and so, they don't need to buy vaccine to get herd immunity. That is what I call a cold vaccination plan.
Additional did you not read the plan from the Health Minister Anutin?
We reach : August phase 5, September phase 4, October phase 3, November phase 2, December phase 1 and from January 2022 Thailand is covid free. For what do they need all that vaccines?
With all respect to your thoughts about side effect, but in the moment there is nothing better than that vaccines. And please, there is no chip from Gates or any else in the jab.

Welcome in the modern world.
I use a mouthwash, called Betadine. It is based on iodine and can buy it in every pharmacy or drug store.
On the other side, if that is based on rice, so I guess it contain also alcohol.
Can I order some bottle to my quarantine-hotel next?

To apply for the certificate of entry the $100,000 covid 19 insurance has to be valid for the length of stay you get when entering the country.
If have other insurance to cover your more than 30 days you could get another policy to cover those first 30 days after your arrive to get the coverage for asymptomatic treatment. The insurance you can get here covers asymptomatic treatment. https://www.tipinsure.com/CovidRegional/product_detail
If I try to buy a 30 days insurance, they tell me I need a longer period to cover with my Non o retired.
I fear that I buy the Insurance and later the don't want pay because of the short term, even if I have my own Insurance which I used also for my COE for 1 year.
Insurances will find always reason to avoid paying any. Why it should be other here?
They also state that the should be only one insurance per person.
It could be the point to say, I have two insurances, so they would not pay any.
Is there any email contact to clarify this in forecast?
On that general Website from the tipinsure.com is no contact possibility.
What a poor organization.

What about the people who got the jabs abroad?
Can I get the green Card too?
I will come in September back to Thailand and be of course fully Pfizer vaccinated.
It was good for the COE to enter, but how is it IN Thailand?
Do I need to keep always my original certificate with me for shopping or can I get from somewhere Thai Office the green card?

You would need a letter from your insurer where it is stated that they would cover a minimum of 100kUS$ for covid-19 and further additional cover for other In/Out-Patient cost in Thailand and it must state an exact date of period.
I was refused first because in the letter was stated my long time ago start date of the contract and as end date unlimited, because the intend is not to quit my health insurance. It is an ongoing contract under German law.
This flat head at the embassy did not accept and so I need to ask for a new letter where the End-Date was stated as 31Dec2022 and further.
My second problem with them was, that they did not understand the difference between an AQ and ALQ Hotel. So, they requested to show that I have paid the AQ-Package.
AQ Hotel is in Bangkok and ALQ are local hotel. I booked for Pattaya.
All this hotel have of course included the AQ package in the price. They mainly want to see that the 3 PCR Test are paid. But they are too dumb to read the booking confirmation from Agoda where everything was stated.
After the third trial to get my COE I wrote a detailed summarize of my conversation and wrong information given to me first and put following email in copy :
'[email protected]'; (Ministry of Tourism and Sport)
'[email protected]' (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
After I send the email to the Singapore Embassy at 3:30pm, I got an email back at 6:30pm the same day with the link to download my COE!
I don't know that they work so long there in the SG Embassy.

I had some trouble with the Singapore Embassy because they did not understand that I had booked a ALQ Hotel in Pattaya and that this of course also include the AQ Package with the PCR Test etc.
They refused two times after 3 days each on that I would not have payed the AQ Package.
When I sent the last email and explained all again and what they also told me wrong before regarding the Health Insurance etc. then I added the following email in copy to my email to the SG Embassy.
'[email protected]'; '[email protected]'
Ministry for Tourism and Sport, Ministry of Foreign Affairs!
I send this on a Monday at 3:30pm and got my COE link within 3 hours at 6:30pm!
Don't know if that had helped but I heard from many Thai Embassy that they are a bit, how to say polite, other.
Therefore everybody should use the complaint email. It is exactly for cases if the officers play games with the applicant.

Thailand is very lucky to receive the Pfizer US donation to boost their medical frontline staff. Otherwise, there is no other more effective vaccine in the pipeline in the short term.
I will spare myself my comment on the vaccine planning in Thailand. It’s obvious.... US donation to boost their medical frontline staff. ... and the HISO for free!

Chatted to a guy from the USA who said " they are throwing Vaccines away because people will not have them, stupid is as stupid does"!
Most of them who refuse, refuse the Anutin Vaccine from China.
Thai are also able to read a news paper

Absolute joke. The first million doses had to be ordered through GPO but now the next 5 million doses can be ordered directly from Zuellig/Moderna without the assistance (I use the word very loosely) from the GPO. All this messing around has resulted in the Moderna doses being shipped to Thailand sometime next year. Too little, too late.
Don't think too much about. That is anyway for the Army first.

.... I was one of those idiots who said that Thailand doesn't rely on tourism. Feel like a moron now, the reality hit me in the head.
You are just a victim of the Thai Proud.
They would never say they were dependent on someone Foreigner.
The 15-20%BIP in tourism is only the half because they don't count all the millions who work and life in Tourist areas, earn at least some money to survive but don't pay tax. Massage, Bicycle-BBQ on the road, Taxi, Tuk Tuk, Souvenirs, Sun-beds rental etc pp.

No. money to buy vaccines? Not foreign ones. The group "Mor Mai Thon" petitioned parliament yesterday to buy mRNA vaccines and to disclose information about the procurement and distribution of vaccines. Good luck on that. The government has already said that details can't be released because the prices of the vaccines must be kept confidential.
Regarding the Pfizer vaccine to be donated, The Chulabhorn chief says that it should not be given to health care professionals as a third shot since it might discourage the populus from getting vaccinated now with a non-mRNA vaccine. That seems to be a small problem when so many people are dying to be vaccinated with ANY vaccine to avoid serious illness. Why not publicise the information that vaccination with any of the vaccines first and an mRNA vaccine later is the best strategy to avoid serious symptoms the soonest? Following a Sinovac shot with a shot of a different offers very good protection.
Why do you think Anutin organized the Sinoxxxx and AstraZeneca?
Because it is a cheap one.
300Million to pay for another lockdown. Can buy a lot of vaccine from that, but have to order much earlier

Otherwise I only expose skin for a few minutes at the start of the summer (in Europe), the gradually increasing exposure time.

Be wise and don't get burned.
I also take a minimum of 10-15grams of vitamin C daily, and if unwell much more.
For a severe chest infection, 80g in a day.
Go doctoryourself.com a d see for yourself.
I buy 5Kg ascorbic acid online costs about €80 a d keeps me safe for about a year.

When they locked down tight the first time, it appeared to work very well. Reported cases went to zero, no hospitalizations, done and done. Then they reopened the borders without preparing a national vaccination campaign and now we're worse off then we were at the beginning.
The first lockdown was ok, even if I just came to Thailand on my monthly travel, but fall direct into the alcohol ban. Good if you have good Thai Neighbors ????
But, do you really believe that there were several month no Covid in Thailand?
Do you really believe that there was no border run of illegal workers in both direction under open Eyes and Hand of the IO before Dec 20?
I just try to come in September from Singapore and scare I can't fly finally home to Thailand

A long term lease being required depends upon the office where you apply for the extension. Perhaps make a arrangement for a couple of months of rental some place to show when you apply for the extension.
You do not to show proof of insurance since you will be entering on a non-o visa and the extending the stay it allows.
The insurance is only required if you entered using a OA visa.
Hi Ubonjoe,
It is not correct what you say about NON-O and entering Thailand with that.
I even don't how how you can get a NON-O (not NON-OA) if you are not in Thailand.
You are right that a NON-O new apply or extension do not require a health insurance up to now.
But you need a health insurance to enter Thailand theses days for your COE.
I just try to get this and had a big discussion with the Singapore Embassy which (at least one girl) want tell me that I must buy even a Thai Insurance for minimum one year beside my existing one and if I want not accept I should not go to Thailand.
They would not accept any letter certificate from the foreign insurer.
Later came a correction from another Lady. They would accept but it must cover minimum 100,000US$ and extra declared that it also would pay for a Covid-19 infection.
Last but not least it must show a start date and an END Date. Not believing that a health insurance will be unlimited so long as you pay the fee

I am wondering always about the red notice list from Interpol.
Everybody can have a peek into.
Google for Interpol red notice, filter the wanted by to Thailand and check if you can find this Mr. Boss in the list.
It were good if the journalist ask these Thai officers if there is another red notice list from Interpol.
