  1. FWIW - normally I spend about six months in the US working. I was supposed to go back to the United States for several weeks for a business project that ended up delayed and then canceled and rescheduled several months…oh well…stuff happens
  2. “What's the issue with obtaining a 12 month extension.” No issue. I had planned leave the country for this trip long before getting the visa. I could get the one year extension next time if I preferred. I initially intended to travel back to the US, so I didn’t get a one-year extension.
  3. I have a Non-O Marriage visa (90 days plus 60-day extension) and am leaving for Vietnam right before my Non-O expires. I’ll be in Vietnam for 27 days before returning with a new Non-O marriage visa. Does immigration ever have issues Non-O Spouse/Child visa holders about repeat leaving to apply for a new visa and re-enter, as is the case with people doing visa exemptions and tourist visa runs?
  4. I am sorry. I neglected to mention that I heard the processing time for the extension is 30 days. since I would only have 15 days from when I meet the financial requirement to the expiration of my visa, I did not know if the one-year visa would be processed in time
  5. Just request a little insight here -I have a 90 day non-immigrant visa based on marriage, and I would like to extend for one-year via the marriage Visa, but my 90-day visa will run out only 15 days from when the necessary money deposited into a Thai bank account reaches the 60-day deposit mark. 15 days might not be enough to process the one-year extension, but I was wondering if it was possible to extend 60 days to visit family. If so, can I apply for the one-year visa during the 60-day extension? Or will I need a new 90-Day Visa? (I’m in Nonthaburi BTW)
  6. I am Non-O. (Spouse category ) I had the TM47 receipt with me, but they didn’t ask.
  7. I was just told I would need a verification letter from the US Embassy to open a Thai bank account to get a marriage visa. However, this is what it says at the embassy site: “U.S. Embassy Bangkok and U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai do not provide “verification” letters to open Thai bank accounts.” Anyone know the process to follow?
  8. I entered the country on Visa exemption, received a 30 day extension, then received a 60 day marriage extension, left for Malaysia for five days, re-entered on a 30 day visa exemption and I’m now headed back to the United States. I’d like to come back within 45 and 60 days. Would I have any likely issues if I applied for a tourist visa?
  9. I read online that you must have $10,000 in a bank account for 90 days to apply for a 90-day visa to visit my spouse. I do not keep $10,000 in the bank account. However, I’m can provide investment statements establishing the financial requirements. Is this acceptable to submit? (Also, I am a US Citizen)
  10. Hi So, The 60-day extension is available with each new visa & exemption & not capped to once per calendar year?
  11. Hi. Thank you! Is the 90 day report a requirement for marriage visa, work visa, and other 12 month visas exclusively?
  12. I was wondering if I needed to file a 90-day report if this is my status: 30-day Visa Exempt from USA + 30-day tourist extension + 60-day extension to visit/support spouse. Since that is a total of 120 days, is there still a 90 day reporting requirement is that only for people on the 12 month extension of stay?thanks!
