I was wondering if I needed to file a 90-day report if this is my status:
30-day Visa Exempt from USA + 30-day tourist extension + 60-day extension to visit/support spouse.
Since that is a total of 120 days, is there still a 90 day reporting requirement is that only for people on the 12 month extension of stay?thanks!

Would I still need to have money in Thai bank if applying from the USA or present proof of funds from a USA bank?

Hi and thank you so much for your reply.
No, I do not have a Thai Bank account in my name, but I can open one the day I arrive. I would probably go to the Immigration office closest to Nonthaburi. (Do you recommend a particular office?)
I’m assuming the requirements for the 90-day conversion are not as expansive as the one-year extension - Visa Change Form TM87 marriage certificate, passport photos, US passport, letter from spouse, address in Thailand, flight tickets for end of 90 days. Am I missing anything?

I will be entering Thailand visa exempt & wish to submit a request for the change of visa to 90 day spouse visa. From what I see, the requirements are the same for a one year visa. Is this accurate? Is the ฿400,000 for two months requirement still in effect for adding 60 days to the trip for the 90 Day visa? Some sources say one day for the 90 day visa.

TravelingWell - I am curious about you. Mostly because I need a similar visa in the end of this year. Do you have Thai children? How did you get a 1 year multiple visa.....at Savannakhet, Laos? Did you guarantee with 400.000 in the bank?
I appreciate it you will take the time to answer here on in PM. Thank you.
I never applied for a multiple visa before.

What does "30 days out oafter 90 days straight " mean? Agree that you got something confused but can't fathom what?
I read that a while ago, but it now appears to be a source with incorrect information.

Got it. Thanks. I think I confused some of the rules with a tourist visa that (30 days out after 90 days straight)

Hi All,
I can't seem to figure the departure re-entry specifics of the O Visa (Related to Thai).
I know you can get one-year multiple entries for a maximum of 90 days straight and then leave for 30. However, what if you go "back and forth?" In Thailand for 45 days, go to another country for one week, back to Thailand for three weeks, to another country for three days, back to Thailand 30 days, leave Thailand for two months, back to Thailand for two weeks, etc. In other words, would you need a new visa after "X" entries.

I should have clarified. I planned on renting out for 60 - 90 days or so - which would the time away from the country. Is this allowed under a visa barring any lease term exclusions?

Can someone help me with a question: I am recently married to a Thai citizen. I am a U.S. citizen and work in the U.S. on a "gig/contract" basis. What are the rules/visa requirements/etc to rent out a leased apartment on Airbnb when we are not in Thailand? What if it turned out well and I opted to buy a condo and Airbnb it out? What visas are required for me?

Hi. Thank you! Is the 90 day report a requirement for marriage visa, work visa, and other 12 month visas exclusively?
