I think this part of the news is interesting
The 50-per cent cap will only apply to companies that deal with areas considered important to national security, or that have an impact on natural resources or Thai culture, he said.
what areas are considered as important
to security
to natural resources
to Thai culture
More details or examples on this issue would be appreciated.

One said this is hot air. Who knows. Maybe he's right, we keep in mind that Thailand has a temporary government leaded by military. After the elections plenty of the said will be just hollow words.
The current political cabaret is bad for Thailand's reputation. Thailand plays with his reputation as a safe place with a trustful government and law.
I hope we do not need to become accustomed to this trembeling uncertanity.
Stop that nonsense!

You ask until you get the answer you want.
That's the key!
By the way, I want to transfer money within my accounts at different branches within the same bank. Often, I do not have my passbook with me.
Will they charge a transfer fee? And how can I avoid a transfer fee?
And yes - I want online banking for non-residents. Suggenstions would be appreciated.

Hi There,
Foreigners may have a bank account in Thailand.
If one needs an ATM, the foreigner must be resident and/or have a work permit.
Concerning online-banking at BBL one must be resident.
If anyone knows a bank that offers online banking to non-residents tell me!
Important is a good relation to your banker.
I recommend SCB and BBL.
Happy New Year!

Or take you proud and joy and give it to a clown at the IT centre and South Pattaya Rd
I would rather give my girlfriend a 9" blade and let her see me in a bar beer
, anyway where is that IT centre? Near centre condo or ...? thank you

Who's worrying
We use Intel Macs for all our Internet work and Windows XP for specialty programs
Virus what is a Virus
Maybe others in Thailand need a trip to Panthrip Plaza and buy an Apple Mac
Then you can sit at your local bar and not worry what goes on at the office
even when that virus attacks only win os's. one cannot feel save when using a mac.
And mac's for inet.......abusive purpose!
and...when I live in Pattaya? Where can I buy hard- and soft-ware?

Nonsense! We shop and we eat our mussles and somtam there for years, sometimes buy the latest CD or a new trunk. We never saw such crap! Sex-VCD yes, like in other major cities round the world.
Does the post intend to discredit the authority or even their own people, na?
- maybe it is too simple - this headline sells!
Or is it a marketing strategy to attract that kind of tourist?
Really....
