  1. Can someone please help with what is required to set up the water supply from a 100mm bore, that is 12 metres deep, to supply a single level house. I would like to run a filter of some kind and install a 1000 to 1500 litre tank. The house has, a hot shower ,2 toilets, washing machine, tub and kitchen sink. I need to have water for the garden also that would bypass the filter system.Do I need to run two pumps? Any help would be appreciated.

  2. yes, got an email today from Longstay after sending information on October 2nd. Email said

"Your information has been registered in our system. once we are able to officially start processing your application, we will update you as soon as possible. "

    Not much help.

I am based in N Z and have been told by the Thai consulate that I will qualify for the Thai government repatriation flights in October, and December 1800 nzd one way.

Just need COE, insurance, Quarantine booking, negative covid test no more than 72hours before flight and visa.

Have emailed the Thai embassy to see if they can offer any assistance with visa.

  3. Hi to you all. I have been reading many of the posts here and they are a wealth of knowledge. I will soon be immigrating to Thailand and marrying my Thai fiancee. I therefore have the option of either a retirement visa, as I am over 50, or a marriage visa. My question is, when I move my furniture, tools and household items to Thailand what duty, taxes and vat do I have to pay.

I have been told that as long as the items are over 6 months old there is no duty.

Can someone please confirm if this is correct ?

Which visa is best, I believe that it is possible to apply for a work visa if you have a marriage visa. I have purchased a farm in Surin, near the wife's family land so did not really intend to work off the land but the option could be beneficial.

Thanks in advance for your advice
