I had it (64yo), and can certainly report having had worse flu's, no sweating at all.
My 40(ish) misses had it and it was worse than the flu, mainly because it lasted 10 days sweating.
My 8yo son had it, and it was exactly the same as the flu, 3 days sweating.
My 20yo daughter probably had it, no symptoms at all.
So take your pick!
I just love the fact that you are such a gentleman. As we know, a gentleman never asks a lady her age....even if it's your misses ????

That's 180,000 baht per tourist, even if the Hotel cost 2,000 baht a night that is only 28,000 baht over 14 days. leaving 152,000 baht for what? No-one spends that amount of money on a 21 week holiday!
Er, you are clearly not using the right calculator and formula. Get an Anutin X5000 from Lazada.

Here we go again...'Considering'. No action.
Wonder if the Thai people are considering a change?

They need to stop using words to hide their excuses...such as 'Priority', 'appointments', 'Register' and 'Agreed to buy'.
The verbs they should be using are:
'Given'
'Bought'
'Here'
'Now'
Purchased'
'Distributed'
There is only one reason they aren't using them and he's currently in his pyjamas.

Tip of the iceberg. I'm looking forward to the book that comes out about all the 'quality tourists' that escape from the sandtrap.
No. 1 Alheimer's patient gets on wrong plane and thinks he is waiting for the January sales.
No. 2 Returning spouse who evades the high- tec security system by not turning it on.
Prediction
No. 3 Stag party who attach tracking bracelets to Food Panda bikes and arrange a fine night out with the local ladies.
No. 4 Someone who just gets p*ssed off with the whole thing and hires a boat to an island.

Nice of them to spray the plane with sanitiser on arrival. That's the most alcohol these tourists are going to see for a few weeks.

Typo in the headline. Should read, 'thanks to', rather than 'despite'.

If this was dated July 2020 then that would be about right.

These numbers don't reflect what I see everyday, there alot more closed than open and many shop houses are empty and not rented. Are they putting lipstick on a pig?
You are right, that's two less as it requires one to hold the pig....549,998 jobs lost.

Somewhat of an overstatement (the wording is actually reconsider not avoid). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Thailand.html
I agree, 'reconsider' assumes Americans were considering coming in the first place. If they were not before, they probably won't change their minds. It's still not good news for the dirtbox planners.

'Prominent' - Adjective.
Underqualified and largely ignored 'expert' who does not care about the repercussions of sticking his/her head above the parapet wearing a silly hat and offering usually very sensible/obvious solutions.

Have you tried finding some house staff, like a housemaid or something lately?
Housemaids.....hmmmm
As long as she isn't virtual.

What's the problem with tracking? Have you seen the police playing games on their phones at checkpoints? The tracking operatives will be in a darkened room watching soap operas or Pornhub on VPN and sending police to chase packs of soi dogs wearing tracker bracelets.
This is the least of their problems. The US just declared Thailand an area for their citizens to avoid due to CIVID and civil unrest.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has reiterated his intention to open Thailand fully to foreign visitors in the next 120 days, or within October, and is urging everyone to do their best to achieve that goal.
I can think of one pretty good way of achieving that goal.... and it does involve him.

For the cost of a dog collar for a soi dog, tourists can 'relocate' their wristbands and enjoy the freedom of Phuket while police try to arrest a pack of tourists congregating on the beach and in rubbish tips.
