Thai woman calls justice after Thai man attacks her Belgian husband
MarcB replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Jean Claude van Damme first served in the French foreign legion, before he started a career in mixed martial arts. It's only afterwards he got noticed and began starring in his first movies. But yes, he wasn't a boxer. Sugar Jackson was famous tough :) -
Thailand Reverses Visa Policy for Tourists From 60 Countries
MarcB replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That's weird. Me and all of my colleagues have just short of 60 days/year. That's a good 2 months. Regular job, full time contract. And each year we get an extra day, up to a maximum of 80 days. I feel lucky I have a regular job... For posters who say tourists should only get 15 days exemption, otherwise they'd steal local people's jobs.... I go to Thailand 2x a year for a month, and really don't want to work on a rice farm or 7/eleven. -
Queen wasn't her name though. Ung Ing sounds Asian, and normal for them. Here are some normal sounding American names... Windy Dick Sky Panda Penny And some celebrities... Ice T Gaga Bieber Zuckerberg But hey, some people can't stand cultural differences. Just whine about the culture they claim to love so much...

฿700m in assets seized from another online gambling network in Thailand

Should have given his luxury watches to Prayut, then he would have been a free bird. Or dead. -
As I can see from the pics before and after, it wasnt a very clean house. It got fully renovated, and looks really great now. Look at the painting job, the front gate, the garden, kitchen,... 2 million is a bit steep for a free pimp my house I understand unwarranted entry, burglary, personal stress for loss of pictures,... But on the other hand, they just won a new house

Confusion reigns as EXAT announce new speed limits on expressways
MarcB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I drive as fast as the others do... any slower is just suicide ???? Another note, why dont they just choose 1 number? Let's say 100. Its not a big difference in distance in an hour compared to 90 or 110 -
‘Tourism fee’, now for all travellers to Thailand, ready to launch
MarcB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Wonderful and Amazing... First they waive the visa fee, which is free for Visas on arrival anyway, to then replace it with a tourist feeeeeee Insurance I do not need coz I have a better one from my home country Man, are they really trying to save the sinking ship! Also amazing is that they always try to fleece the tourists. Tourists fees, double pricing here and there, and so on What happened to, hey, let's try to find a better way instead of the easy way out whilst shooting in my foot? Biting the hand that feeds you comes to mind -
For 40 million Baht, you can buy a house of 1 rai, with a swimming pool of 1 rai, and a garden all around of 8 rai..... in Belgium, Spain, France, wherever Or I could rent a luxury condo for the next 100 years... However, I would prefer 1 small rai with noisy and nosy neighbours, with the tessaban song every 7am and stinking cars all around with the electricity blacking out every day or so.... right a fool is easily parted with his money or something like that?

What's that sound? Americans whooping in joy at the exchange rate!
MarcB replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My 10 cents (soon to be worth 1 cent).... Winter is coming. Meaning: energy, oil, gas, hitting the roof. Half your paychecks will go to utility bills. Higher energy prices equate to higher food and supply prices... Can see it yet? I'll go even further. Higher commuting prices, production and manufacturing, and yes... taxes!!! No problemo, let's print some money... Oh wait, we can't pay for ink cartridges. Because we printed too much and REAL inflation catches up... Winter is gonna be a storm. This small trading range, with its downward bias, is the beginning. Not only the USD, but the whole basket of SDR currencies are coming to a stop, and yes, it's gonna crash. It just the only option. There exists no such thing as an ever growing economy. Welcome to the big reset.... So my 1 cent, people who paid off their homes and mortgages can grow little food. All others will lose to the bank and are fckd. Didnt wanna say it, but you'll wake up eventually. -
I remember that Sanuk711 Those days, i took the casino bus, as it was called so by Thai gamblers, for 150 baht/1way It left at 3am in Ayuttaya, picked you up along the road after you called for reservation. And arrived at Aranyaprathet around 8am, before the visa runners arrived. Stamped out, went to the casinos for 8hrs, and the bus left for bkk around 5pm. All very VIP for a local price. Even the dodgy visa assistance fees were included ???? good times good times

Sure the cyber cops could track the perpetrator. But it's too low profile. Cardboards would cost more than the actual order... On another note, i booked an uber, or grab, forgot it, when i had to go to the airport, and almost missed the checkin deadline coz the driver didnt come Works 2 ways, as mentioned above. Maybe this crying man was an hour late... just dunno

Unconcerned Palang Pracharath leader acknowledges declining popularity
MarcB replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Unconcerned, yet trying to fix it. Bless his arrogance. For the people who still have good hopes... forsake them... as the guy who didnt want to be PM, but really wanted to be PM, will still be PM, long after the old guy, who painted his hair back to black, his watches run dead... -
Jeez, it's a mix of a statement in the article and the headline... Strange you can't see that and assume it's a real accusation. Stay of the Chang when you read articles of more than 2 paragraphs bro, Chang bites after too many years. As the story goes, several years ago, he stepped on too many loansharks' toes who were quite well connected. Aka, well above his paygrade. He tries his best, though yet will never get to the top if he stays clean. Unless he could stage a coup that is...
