Is all this speed calculation talk about observed speeds before the collision? I hope so, because there is no way that car hit that bike at any tremendous speed...there would not be a bike left to look at if he hit that thing at 177 KmH...It seems the facts don't matter, only the circumstances of how the facts were handled...

My Thai wife has a 17 year old boy from a previous marriage, I am married to her now. He hit a pedestrian with his motorbike. The injured party has 250,000 Baht owed to the hospital for his injuries and is seeking compensation from the family. He (the boy) does not have any insurance. She does not have custody of the child. Is there any liability on her part for the hospital debt?
She is very worried that she must contribute to the debt...does she have to by law?

Hi and Yes...And just before it expired Oct 2 the consulate gave me a new one... apparently that is not too hard if you are not in the UK...I was in Italy. I got back because I was married, and I was on Emirates...the flight was important because of favorable airline policies and TH government approval for them to operate flights to here. The catch is that the new visa is a 90 day thing that I can renew 3 times- not my usual one year thing. Complicating this is that after 10 months away my wife has moved on and is forcing me into a divorce... no happy return to the LoS
