  1. They should start at Suvarnabhumi airport. The last two times I ws there I took the ticker for the "official taxi" downstairs at lower lever. When entering the taxi the scams already start. "700 to center ok?". I said no I want the meter both times and both times the driver was fuming mad. Mind you, this is the official taxi at the airport. If they cannot control these taxi drivers, any other attempt to futile.
  2. The story about that Valium is maybe the most freighting of all.
  3. Due to the backlash, decided to watch this and found there was absolutely nothing inaccurate. The only thing I would say is it focused on Moon Party and Phuket so obviously its not representative of all of Thailand. That said, these places are where a lot if not most visitors come to visit. I had to laugh when the Real Estate women showed a highest of the high end dream house in the country and says "obviously Thailand is not a 3rd World Country" or "the Dangers of Thailand". Maybe not but one house does not make the case. Probably I would give the film another title like "some things you maybe didn't know about Thailand". The criticisms of the presenter really wanting to paint an ugly picture of Thailand are real unfounded. I wont develop the laundry list here but she could have easily done so if that was her objective.
  4. Another fame seeker that will do anything to get new subscribers and attention. As with most any tattoo, she in all likelihood one day regret it. This one is on the arm, next the back and can only go lower from there.
  5. I did not say it is or is not a dictatorship. I simply stated it is a Kingdom. You can interpret this however you please.
  6. and if I follow your brilliiant course of thought Mr. Smart A**, the countries you listed do have any real power over the political establishment.
  7. No one ever claimed it is a democracy. It is a Kingdom.
  8. Sad he felt compelled to do a retraction video. I guess his balls were smaller then his videos.
  9. Thats interesting. There were a lot of witnesses. I even have photos which I am reluctant to share in the website as they are horrid. I guess we can surmise the reason why nothing has surfaced.
  10. Last Saturday evening, there was a young Thai girl working at a bar on Soi 80 in Hua Hin that had her throat slit by a Farang (I was told European or American). This is a 100% factually true story because I know someone that happened to be in a nearby bar that witnessed the aftermath. I cannot find a news story. Has anyone read anything about this incident?
  11. Golf is ok. I'll take Squash or Racquetball any day of the week over golf. Much more fun and a far better work out.
  12. Excellent thread. Just wondering what is a "yellow book and pink card"? Never heard of either.
  13. yeah sure. and what country should have the world reserve currency? China and the Yuan? Be careful what you ask for.
