Sad he felt compelled to do a retraction video. I guess his balls were smaller then his videos.

Who knows what the entire story is. Based on the fact something occurred a few minutes before the crash, he was wrong to cut in front of her and slammed on the brakes which seems likely. Also wrong to punch her car. Driving in Thailand is not driving in Germany and people have to accept there are a lot of really bad drivers on the road (foregin and Thai both ) in Thailand.

He deserves what he gets. Deport the jackass for acting like a jackass. Let him kick a doctor in Switzerland.

Haha so funny. Rather vial and disgusting. Anyone who can find humor in this low life excuse for a human is right behind him in their morals, not to mention sense of humor.
This is exactly why so many Thai's have a poor opinion of Farang, inevitably making life worse for all others living here. And who can blame the Thai's for thinking that way?
No mercy. Find him, Charge him. Deport him. Ban him.

What a low life moron. This is exactly the kind of jackass that makes Thai's dislike foreigners. and who smokes in a car these days especially without permission. Charge him or better yet deport him and dont let him come back.

I believe the Thai women taxi driver. In any case, never a good idea to argue anything in Thailand over 50 Baht.

Thats interesting. There were a lot of witnesses. I even have photos which I am reluctant to share in the website as they are horrid. I guess we can surmise the reason why nothing has surfaced.

Last Saturday evening, there was a young Thai girl working at a bar on Soi 80 in Hua Hin that had her throat slit by a Farang (I was told European or American). This is a 100% factually true story because I know someone that happened to be in a nearby bar that witnessed the aftermath. I cannot find a news story. Has anyone read anything about this incident?

Without a fail any news and a chorus of idiots out blaming the dogs. They are dogs, strong and powerful dogs who were raised by a human.
only one to blame is the owner.
i have 2 pitbulls, big loving teddy bears but they hate badly dressed men, rubbish collectors and anyone else who looks “dirty”
As such I always make sure they can not get to any people, over 10 years and not once they got out
it is extremely tragic and horrendous to have seen the attack because their power is insane but again, dogs were raised by a human who failed to provide safety for others and have no control over dogs.
where I live, all neighbors are scared of my dogs but at the same time love them because once I moved in all theft and robberies have stopped.
dogs know all the neighbors but make noise when a stranger comes around. Theft and break ins are 0 for years
Such a ridiculous commentary. So if i am a stranger and I knock on your door, your dogs have a right to attack me? What is they get loose in some way? I am sure most all owners feel their killer dogs are properly restrained. You want a pit bull, go live on a deserted island. Dont risk other peoples lives with a macho obsession.

Golf is ok. I'll take Squash or Racquetball any day of the week over golf. Much more fun and a far better work out.

biervoormij - I currently have 5 year driving licenses (car and motorcycle). They expire in about a year. My plan is to enter on an O-A so I can easily renew them for another 5 years. I also have a yellow book and a pink card.
Excellent thread. Just wondering what is a "yellow book and pink card"? Never heard of either.

In Thailand, bigger (as in pick-up truck), means you have right away over anything smaller than you, i.e. cars, motorcycles and people. Bigger also means you have the right to drive fast and carelessly. I see this everyday on the roads in Hua Hin.

yeah sure. and what country should have the world reserve currency? China and the Yuan? Be careful what you ask for.

Uh-huh. Sure. Yet the Aseannow rewriter and Daily News police reporter and the Daily News publisher and you all have one thing in common - you all have absolutely no idea if the man is "rich and connected". Where 'absolutely' is an absolute word.
You, Mister Pyjamas, have no idea of who the man is. You haven't a clue of whether he is 'rich and connected'. You don't even know his name - which is why you won't write it.
This story is a picture-perfect example of uninformed misinformation and lies and you are the latest uninformed story-fabricator in a string of them.
Who’s cares what his name is? If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck yes It’s a duck or in this case psychopathic duck that is likely a repeat offender. And let’s be honest here to say he likely has some connections would not be too much of a stretch. Being well connected and getting off is not exactly a rarity in Thailand. Whatever the case, the fear that biker must have endured I can’t imagine.

Why only in Thailand or SE Asia? If the US Government vaccinates Americans in Thailand then what about every country in the world that Americans are in? This list would be long and possibly there are more Americans in other countries than Thailand? A lot of Americans are in the PI as well. It is not what "the Government owes us or has a duty to do", most of us came to Thailand voluntarily. I have never met any American who was forced to come to Thailand or is on asylum status. We can leave Thailand anytime.
Additionally would countries like India or possibly Brazil be higher on any potential list to vaccinate Americans? If the pandemic poses an imminent threat to Americans then the State Department would deploy it's ultimate overseas tool: the NEO program, Noncombatant Evacuation Operations. If the pandemics gets really bad the US Embassy in Bangkok would offer all Americans a chance to evacuate(of course it would not be free). In essence Americans who want to be evacuated would pack one carry on bag and meet at a designated meeting point and fly out to the US or the nearest safe country.
This is issue is "DOA".
The reason why is because are taxed on their world wide income. There is no discount when paying other than reciprocity agreements the USA has with other countries. Yes it would take time to reach all Americans in various countries but there are embassies in the majority that can administer. USA is sending vaccines now around the world. Why not try to assist American citizens as well.

If you left this year, could you not have foreseen how this thing might have gone ? Even if you could not have seen the exact contours, you should have seen the possibilities.
I was invited in early March to accompany another foreigner who was planning a trip out of Thailand in early April. I "graciously declined". Actually, I did more than that; I successfully persuaded him not to leave. He is still thanking me, though he is in a category where he would have been able to return by now. However, he might have lost his job before he was able to get back.
I have lived in Thailand for 25 years, and never bought a condominium here. Now you know one of the reasons why.
Agree with this comment. I was working Philippines and decide to cut my trip short by 3 weeks as everyone there was talking about the Covid cases in Manila. In addition, all living in Thailand were of course well aware of covid spreading as it was February when it Thailand and the fast spread.
I am no defender of the Thai government but every government is doing its best in these unforeseen and unpredictable times and they have seen keep the country safe till now, albiet at the economic expense of SME's and it's people. While i do have empathy for people who do really stupid things in their life, dont blame your poor judgment on the Thai government.

Really dont like to be negative, but i live in Hua Hin and it is dead. First of all 1/2 of the business are completely shut down restaurants, bars, hotels, etc. The other 1/2 which are open are dead. There are a handful of business that have some customers on the weekend mostly from Bangkok. Maybe this weekend will be busy due to the holiday, but I guarantee if you come on Tuesday there will be no one here.
