After spending nearly 7 hours with a bunch of fellow sufferers in the queue in the Hua Hin Immigration office i finally got my COVID-19 tourist visa extension for... only 3 weeks till April 29. On the question what i supposed to do when this extension will expire i was told that further extension is still under consideration and i'll need to come again on April 29 with my passport and they can tell me nothing more at the moment.
Here's what documents i had:
Yeah, post about 9 separated documents was not a joke and each of these 9 documents should have second copy. Even Embassy letter.
- Two passport size photos.
- Two copies of each of these passport pages: Main page with photo, TM6 card, Visa page, Stamps .
- Embassy letter + copy (I got mine letter on email from Embassy)
- Extension application form + copy (you supposed to fill both of them)
- House Lease Agreement + copy (My rent contract had 17 pages and i thought it was way too much paper to make second copy of all of it and at the end of the day they send me to the nearest print office to make second copy of each page ????♂️)
- Owner's House book two copies
- Owner's ID card two copies
- House book of rented house two copies
- Map of house location two copies (i just opened google maps found my house and made a screenshot & printed it in color)
- 1900 baht
Extension process:
I've arrived at 8:15 AM and there was a lot of people in the queue already. After around one hour and half i made it to the table with two immigration workers they checked my documents, gave me two application forms and a queue number.
There were more than 34 people in front of me but they had different visas and different type of extensions so there was two different queues.
After that there were another 4 hours of pleasant waiting especially after announcement at 12PM that all officers are leaving to have lunch and will come back at 1:30 PM...
At 2:00 PM i was invited on the second floor where i've spent another 45 minutes before my number was called and then i was requested to sign every single document that i brought with me and after i did it, finally my docs were accepted. I paid 1900 and received my passport with extension stamp after 15 minutes.
Hope this info was helpful for someone.
I was gonna say "Stay Safe" but if you are about to go to the immigration office... Just Good Luck!

Thai Immigration appear to be being reasonable in the current situation. You should contact your nearest Immigration post (in person) a little closer to your expiry date and ask the question.
Really hope they are cos its totally up to them right now will i have to overstay or they will be able to extend my visa.

Hello guys. Citizen of Belarus here. I'm staying in Hua Hin on single entry tourist visa. Already got one visa extension for 30 days two weeks ago and my visa expires on April 10. I had a ticket on April 4 through Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and 2 days ago i found out this flight got canceled. The same day i bought another ticket it was my last chance to get home. It was flight through Abu Dhabi on March 28 with Etihad.
This morning UAE officially suspended all flights to and from Abu Dhabi including transit flights. I'm not sure what to do now. There no direct flights to my country from Thailand and all transit countries are suspended now. Also, there's no Embassy of Belarus in Thailand the closest one is in Hanoi, Vietnam. Needless to say i can't get any official letter from my embassy to extend my visa. I'm planning to visit Hua Hin immigration office but before that i decided to ask here.
Will it be possible to get another 30 days visa extension without any letter from Embassy? Any information would be appreciated!

They will accept your application and the after you pay the 1900 baht fee it will denied and you will be granted 7 days to leave the country. Immigration does them on regular basis.
Thank you for the information. One more question. I'm currently in Hua HIn and extended my visa here. After a few days i'm planing to move to Bangkok and stay there until my flight. So to be able to apply for this (7 days) extension in Bangkok should i show up in Bangkok immigration first after i'll arrive to Bangkok when i arrive there? Because i think if i won't tell them that i moved from Hua Hin to Bangkok when i'll show up to get this 7 days extention they will tell me to go to immigration office where i extended my visa (in Hua Hin). Can you please advice me what should i do?

If you don't want any issues at all, you could apply for an extension of stay at any Immigration Office (cost 1.900 THB).
Even if you are already on an extension of stay, you could do the above. Obviously your application will then be denied as you are only allowed one extension per entry, but your 'denied application' will result in IO providing you with a 7-days extension to enable you to organize your things and leave the country.
Thank you for your advice. Will they accept my extension application if i already extended my visa for 30 days? How do i make them to accept my extension application if they will see that i already have one.
I made a decision that i'll buy this ticket anyway but if there any possibility not to get overstay stamp i'd like to use it. -
Hello guys. My Thai tourist visa will expire on April 9 and my flight is on April 11, 4:00 AM. So it's 28 hours overstay. I didn't buy this ticket yet but it's 2,5 times cheaper than any other tickets that still available before April 9.
I never had overstay before and i'm wondering what could be possible outcome of 28 hours overstay?
Should i even consider this option if i'm planning to come back to Thailand next year?

With your history any of them should be OK.
If you wanted to make a holiday out of it you could fly to Langkawi and take the ferry to Satun. https://www.langkawi-ferry.com/schedule-fare.html
Thank your for respond.
I'm planning to take a bus from KL to Hat Yai through the "Sadao Arrivals Border Post". Hope it goes well and they won't force me to comeback to my snowbound home country till spring

I know there's no guarantee anywhere but anyways what border points are considered as safeties options now and reported the least amount of entry rejections?
After spending last 3 months on a Tourist visa in Thailand i went to Kuala Lumpur and just got my second Tourist Visa. I'm staying here for another 5 days cos it's my first time in KL wanna explore the city and after that i'm planning to come back to Thailand by land.
I'll have cash, onward ticket from Thailand and proof of accommodation in Thailand. Appreciate any advice!
์Both flights cancelled. Officially stuck in Thailand.
