I did a visa run in March after spending 60 days here. My 30 day visa exempt is due to expire on Thursday. I would normally expect a 30 day extension to be straightforward from that.
so are you not a tourist

Sorry, I'm still confused. Did you get a 30 day visa exempt from the Ranong visa run and now want to get your 'first' 30 day extension on that?

Can you please make it clear...
You already did the first 30 day extension of a visa exempt, and want to get another 30 day extension?
did it at IO then ranong visa run then 1 more time IO so I could have extended one more time by doing another visa run.

They actually should not. Look around - these days governments all over the world restrict, prohibit, close etc. Why should it be any different with the Immigration? They just follow the trend.
By the way, most of the Thais still think that foreigners are the main spreaders of the virus in Thailand. This is from my own experience.its my 2nd extension but she didn't look in my passport.she looked at papers and made her decision

first I have 2 extensions so maybe different to those who are on 1st one.went to Hua hin with all documents I was told to take.letter from British embassy, passport copy letter of cancelled flight ,proof of new flight booked and paid 22nd April.letter from owner here where I rent to say rents been paid up to 22nd April.2 pics,2 filled out application forms, and proof of sufficient funds.
took about 4 hours until my number was called up.took her 1 min to refuse.Reason was, need 2 photos of the bungalow,{ didn't realise, that would have been easy} a copy of the owners deeds, owner ship of the resort.2 copy of the mail I sent to embassy asking for a letter from them, 2 letters where they confirmed.my visa ran out today so as from tomorrow im overstayer.

I think you are writing about the Dan Singkhon immigration office. That office offers very limited services. The main office for immigration is in Hua Hin.
I think the Singkhon office is telling you to go to the office in Hua Hin due to them not having the authority to issue the special 30 day extensions.
yes Dan singkhon.ok, thanks for info.is it worth going there again and giving it another go.do I need a letter from owners of bungalow im staying at

This is so insane,if the virus goes on and on and people need to keep getting extensions and letters if they cannot leave its madness, just let people who are genuinely stuck here here go and have interview with immigration for extensions to see if they are legit or not,no need for letters it's a nightmare for people.
totally agree with you stun.common sense, not sure what its called in Thai

Will it be your first extension of your 60 day entry from your visa? If the first one you do not need a letter from the embassy.
Which office are you trying to use in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
arrived and got 30 day at airport, did extension at IO, did one visa run to ranong, did one more extension at IO. office name prachuap khirikahan Immigration

hi all.have tourist visa. finishes 31st march.i stay 5 mins from IO in prachuap and its where I have always extended my visa over past few years. IO officer told me get letter from British embassy then go to Hua hin IO.common sense would be to give me a extension here in prachuap instead of travelling almost 2 hours to Hua hin, stand with 100s in queues. I have spent last 2 weeks sitting at home, keeping away from everyone and its what I will continue doing until this virus dies down.Is it worth going back to IO and trying again.thanks all, stay safe.
