  1. Coincidence? I think not. Sad the rival gang had to go "scorched earth" on the other plane passengers...
  2. FYI: Soft Power (courtesy of Joseph Nye) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_power
  3. Would you like some syrup with that waffle? ????
  4. It does not bother me one bit! It sounds like it should be a word for "Big Dick"! Look at the farang on that guy! ????
  5. OK, I get it now. It must have been a "all you can eat" shabu. They do have "a la carte" Shabu. But I can see where they ordered a plate of a certain cut of meat and when it arrived they saw that it is full of gristle and fat and did not bother cooking it and ordered more of a different cut. They do not say what the size of the "party" was so it could have been 6-10 people and if each patron cast aside several plates of fat and gristle marbled meats you could come up with 20 plates fairly quick. What should have done by the patron and his guests was to return the meats they found offensive immediately after receiving it. This hopefully would have solved everything. But then again the management may have quibbled over taking the meat back once it hit their tables. If only people would communicate better.... ????
  6. Your right. Would you want to pay a fine for the parts of a gristle marbled piece of meat you left behind?
  7. What? Just because Thai's love to eat fat, gristle and "soft bone" that is not going to make me feel obligated to do the same! ( I prefer to eat healthy and keep my cholesterol to a minimum) If you lived in a country where all the locals tattooed their entire bodies or put plates into their lips and ears would you follow suit just to adapt to the local ways or would you "kick against the pricks"? ???? FYI I love durian, red chili's, malang tod and kai khao. ????
  8. Being that any spine surgeons worth his weight are in Bangkok. I think I'd pass....
  9. In certain restaurants I have found where I had to leave 1/3 of the meat that was served due to all the gristle, fat and cartilage (they call if soft bone and love it!) in it. Most Thais chow down on that stuff but I will not eat it and most Farangs don't either. If they didn't want that junk thrown away then they should have trimmed it and served it to those who WOULD eat it or to the pigs or dogs where it belongs. ????
  10. Because the whole story is about the wife wanting to be in the newspapers! Anything for a little attention... ????
  11. "reportedly Irish" Isn't everyone Irish on March 17th? He must have slipped on a bar of soap! ????

  13. I remember the days of the good ole genuine Thai Sticks in the late 60s and early 70s.. Some called it tie sticks and thought it was due to being tied to a stick and not because it came from Thailand. Some were dipped in opium and gave you the best high EVER! Then after Nam was over it disappeared and better strains were popping up in the states (especially Hawaii. Maui Wowie) and Mexico( Acapulco Gold). Now they have true "One Hit <deleted>" with just one toke knocking you on your ass! ????
  14. Well now the voted against Russia at the UN General Assembly. Couldn't look bad in public... GRRR...
  15. The Thai Government wants to play Jelly Fish while the most "neutral" country in the world (Switzerland) has taken a firm stance against this war? I never realized what invertebrates they were. ????
  16. <deleted>??? ???? Then I guess you wont mind the USA or the EU not rushing into condemning China when it decides to attack Thailand huh? ???? Even Switzerland who NEVERS takes sides on conflicts has condemned this! ???? It doesn't pay to be a chicken <deleted>! Or are you just plain STUPID???? ????
  17. Being that the minimum wage in NYC pays ten times that (3,933 thb) a day? I would say your correct!
