An immediate arrest and prosecution should deter others, apparently everyone is subject to the law, that's the rumour anyway
Unfortunately in Thailand “rumor” is the key word…
They have laws but the only laws that really rule are “money” and “anything” to save face…
Lile there was any left to save…😔

I don't know the exact numbers, but the vast majority of lonely male "tourists" come to Thailand for the huge amount of beautiful and young prostitutes at very affordable rates who can even eventually become their companions or wives. I myself had this exceptional experience!
These "sex tourists" spend a lot more money in Thailand than family tourists, and I'm not surprised that the government has created new visas that allow for longer stays for foreigners. Obviously, not to mention prostitution which brings a lot of foreign currency into Thailand's coffers while remaining a taboo. Finally someone who speaks the truth without shame...

And for the others that agreed in the comments above...
Maybe YOU should speak for yourselfPretending that Thailand does not have a reputation of beautiful and cheap girls is nonsensical...
But the apologetics always have to talk for the sake of it...

I can’t see that this has anything to do with visa policy. Look back 20 years and this type of thing has been happening regularly in Bangla road for each and every year.
it has to do with services available for tourists in that road, lack of enforcement of existing laws and the resultant type of tourist that frequents the area.
The Thai tourist industry reaps what it sows in areas like Bangla Road.
I agree...
The difference is NOT what is happening NOW but rather the fact that 20 years ago there was much LESS exposure on social media.
Nowadays, literally every inch of the roads is covered by CCTV and wannabe reporters/paparazzi who document every second of the day.
Add this to the fact that people spend more time on their phones that actually going about their jobs and you have the overexposure and the surplus of documentation about the daily life...

Nong Nooch has 3 shows a day where tourist interact with the elephants. Picked up by the trunk and the elephant runs, lay down and the elephant steps over them and picked up in a cradle of two elephants trunks.
Never read about a bad incident in all my years here.
So what?

Out of the mouth of a child comes mostly the truth.
So I would rather believe the chlld as I would belive that teacher.
Especially from a three year-old...
Hard to think he already has that kind of malice to lie about that.
He is much more likely to keep quiet as the fear (too often pretended to be "respect") for authority is instilled in Thai culture and society.

And maybe, just maybe, the injury happened on another way.
However, the hang 'em high brigade can't wait to get going on here without facts, witnesses or corroboration.
Lack of brains indeed!!! ..................... Idiocy comes to mind.
So a bit of evidence gathering is required before trashing a schoolteachers career.
Furthermore, it's a highly unusual place to punish a 3-year-old child.
Was something lost in translation with the parent running off gung ho?
A few more facts required
Like the innumerable times it happened in Thai schools.
The apologetic brigade is much more dangerous than the hang ‘em high brigade…
Lack of brains and idiocy really come to mind…
And lack of research and reading of all the past episodes of inane violence against kid in Thai school too…

You're dead right...
Unfortunately, despite the countless examples (last but not least Musk), that he uses people to his own personal advantage and discard them when in disagreement with him (or just no longer needed for his goals), the orange turd has a "fan" base of sycophants and super dumb people who are oblivious to their own future...
