  1. Ermmmm, 60 day extension is where I ran into problems before. I got a 90 day non O in from the UK. after entering Thailand I went to immigration at 3 months to extend but the most they said they could do was 60 days. Am I missing something? I am concerned with coming on a tourist visa (no Visa) because I only have one way flight, I understand, if they check I would need return flights to enter as a tourist I want to remain in Thailand forever.
  2. That's what I did before but technically my Wife is coming with me from the UK and we will be residing in our house so didn't quite seem to fit the bill. I thought that was the closest option. Thank you
  3. Sorry, yes my wife is a Thai national. I have a Bangkok Bank account in my name. I wanted to obtain the Spouse Visa prior so we have a clear 3 months (ish) to concentrate on songkran, mods to house, farming etc etc. I understood (maybe incorrectly) that it was harder to obtain a spouse visa within Thailand because I would need 400k in my thai bank account for at least 3 months before applying
  4. My Wife lives with me in the UK but we have decided to move to TH. I'd like to apply today or tomorrow but stuck as the e-visa website doesn't specify "Spouse Visa" so I have no idea which Visa type I'm meant to apply for LOL. I have: bank statements passport (both wife and I) Wife thai ID Marriage Cert Thai Address One way tickets for the flight
  5. Hi, I'm travelling to Thailand on the 3rd April. I would like to stay in Thailand indefinitely so based on what I have read on google I thought I would need to apply for 90 day Non O - Visa online then convert / apply for a 1 year Visa in Thailand. However when I visit the thai e-visa website I cannot see an option for spouse Visa, the closest option seems to be stay with this family. I am under 50, have the required 400,000bht in a UK bank although I can transfer to my Thai bank if necessary.
  6. I will be purchasing a new pickup in April/May so am following this thread with interest. I was going to pony up for a Ford Ranger Stormtrack 4x4 but after reading the comments this spec seems unnecessary so a Wildtrack 4x2 is now at the top of the list. I really wanted to consider a Toyota but the tech / interior is currently very dated.
  7. Wow thanks, that's an amazing price! I'll have a look on google. What is the delivery time scale like?
  8. Wow that's a really good price! all the threads I have seen previously said it was between 4000-5000bht a box of 30 or 100-200bht per tablet depending on where it was purchased.
  9. I expect you been asked before but is it original?
  10. Hi, I take Xarelto 20mg but 5000bht a month is a hell of price. I had to purchase some in the UK a couple of years ago and it was 8000bht (£163) than. I believe (hope) the patent expires soon so hope there will be a cheaper generic option
  11. Edoxaban is certainly a cheaper option and is slightly better than Rivaxoaban at preventing DVT or PE but it comes with a far higher risk of GI Bleeds and Intracerebral hemorrhage so for that reason I'd prefer to stay on Rivaxoaban
  12. I read the results of a study conducted in Thailand on: Edoxaban, Apixaban, Dabigatran and Rivaxoaban compared to Wafarin. That study showed that in most cases Apixaban was comparable to Wafarin for serious side effects; Rivaxoaban in most cases was the safest. Here is a link to that study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9961808/ Side effects are shown in Table 1 with GI Bleed and ICH being the 2 most serious by far; I will say Rivaxoaban slightly worse results for the prevention of DVT and PE (VTE) but I have an IVC filter so these aren't of too much concern.
  13. There is that option but I'm reluctant to do so, because it clashes with so many things, and this has caused me to spend several days in hospital in agony after I started to urinate blood.
  14. Hi, I found a similar thread after a google search but couldn't find it in the forum so Mods please feel free to consolidate this post. I am taking Rivaxoaban and will shortly be moving near to KK; would you happen know where I can purchase this medication and its price? I know it was originally close to 5000bht a month (crazy) but have been informed that prices have dropped recently. If this is a no go I may consider jumping back on Wafarin but honestly hate the amount of things it clashes with and the need to do INR tests every week or 2. Thank you
  15. I was serious about Immigration officer offering to do a 1 year Visa and put 400,000 in my bank which got me questioning whether I actually needed my marriage cert or if he was just trying to be difficult. I do normally research or ask questions on here but I have been very busy with the final stages of a house build. Because I had provided all evidence when I applied for the Visa, I thought going to Immigration was just to confirm I staying longer, I appreciate this is my mistake but thank you for clarifying
