US, UK, Europe all well over 10% mortality. New York 20% +

Your maths is not great, take time,u can use a calculator if u wish, but u state 10% mortality in Europe! Take each countrys population and divide by 10,% or 20% that your doctor stated, it's not even close to 10-20%, example IRELAND, population 5million, 10% of that is 500,000, ! Actually deaths 1360 covid RELATED deaths!! I hope sincerely u don't work in a bank or a qualified accountant!!

If Thailand was "successful" then Nigeria was even more successful. Less testing per capita, so less deaths from Covid19 per capita.

If you don't test for Covid19, of course how could you know if someone died of Covid19? You can't.

That's why the death figure for Covid19 depends on testing for Covid19.

Thailand's low death figure is merely a result of Thailand not testing for Covid19 on a meaningful scale. So of course it can not indentify deaths from Covid19.

To call that a "success" is to make a mockery of the term. By that measure Nigeria is even more successful.

Totally agree, high numbers in Singapore and most of Europe because testing is done daily on thousands, high volume of tests equals high infected numbers, even though many don't have any symptoms!! Also I've noticed in the UK  and Ireland the media has changed it wording ftom, say, 15 people died today of covid, to 15 people have died today with covid RELATED, big big difference!! But it's recorded as a covid death in the daily covid death rate!!

  3. I strongly believe and having seen it with my own eyes tourism in Thailand has being declining for the past 3yrs!! Yes it still gets a decent volume of tourists in say Pattaya but nothing like 6yrs ago!! Alot of factors now regarding tourists returning, many simply don't have the money to travel now due to job losses etc and traveling will be the last thing on people's list!! People also afraid to fly now, probably need criteria to enter Thailand and not forgetting the high baht!! It will be awake up call for regular tourists as they will find closer more welcoming and cheaper destinations!!!

This is not a racist slur, but ask any shop, restaurant, bar, taxi etc worker and they tell u they dislike the Indian and Chinese tourists, they don't go to eatieries ,bars, taxi's etc, it's all prepaid group tours, they never tip witch goes along way for most of thease workers! Millios of Chinese come but that money they spend stays in a certain click for better a word, nothing trickles down the economic ladder to the normal worker!! Lack of western tourists the past few years and it's quite noticable how many once vibrant places have gone by the wayside!! Sad days ahead of Thailand unless your in the golden circle!! Just my 5cent opinion!!!

And not a single one in Pattaya. That proves the toughest humans on the planet, the eternal SAS retirees on their bar stools, are immune to everything from ebola to nuclear blasts.

Couldn't stop laughing, great post I must say, but u forgot 1 thing as I commented on last week, they all went to Woodies and bought the giant leaf blowers!!

I doubt any insurance company is daft enough to cover this virus and right now no one gets into thailand without health insurance and a health certificate. The Thais got something right at last but were a bit late shutting the door.
