I don't think you do understand, It obvious that you would have to return
to the bank that issued the bank book, did you also lose your ATM card ?
If they went out of their way to help you at a time like this, they may have
to go out of their way to be helpful ,when things return to normal, and thats
just not on ..........
regards worgeordie
Good afternoon Worgeordie: i totally understand your point and i understand the bank policy. And is not the bank fault if i was so stupid to lose book bank and atm card. But, and maybe i make it too simple, if i go to any bank branch in the country with my passport, the police report with all details why the bank cannot call the original branch and verify all my information? In normal days i will not have any doubts: will jump on the first bus to Pattaya, done what i have to done and thats it. But if the ban on traveling by bus will be extended and exceedingly i am not a Pattaya residence and therefore, even being able to reach the city, I would not be allowed to enter, how would I live? I know your answer or that of others might be that it's my business or that I should have been more careful, but unfortunately the damage is done now.

Not sure where you get the idea that there will be military roadblocks during or after the lockdown.
Just my idea, maybe near border expecially with Myanmar or Cambodia.

well im always being asked when its a traffic stop. 1st my driving license and 2nd my passport. Although once i heard from someone saying normal police cannot ask your passport, must be an immigration officer for that around.
I no have driving license and for small journey i use a taxi or minivan. For long journey bus or minivan. About the fake idea of problemfarang i was thinking the same, but the " shop" where i done it its also a visa agent and there is a little desk where they do it for 150 thb.

I went to a shop yesterday and they made me a plastify copy of my passport photo page on front and my visa on back and reduced to a size as a driver license. When this lockdown will end i will travel for work by bus or car. In case of a police or military control on the road, this copy i made will be enough for them or i have to bring my passport, even i no like to carry it with me?

After reset my mobile I tried to log in into the Thanachart internet banking, but was denied. After call 1770, they told me I have to go at the branch where I opened the account: my question is: they can solve my problem without book bank in my hand, but just with passport and all my bank information. Thanks a lot.

Why don't you contact Whatsapp and ask them.
By the way, why do you need 2 profiles??
Hi Bkk6060: Yesterday I called those contacts that gave me that problem and everything was normal using both numbers. But as I said on my private cell phone their profile picture appears, on the job one it doesn't appear. The company I started working for, provided me with a cell phone for work and so I wanted to separate the contacts for work from contacts as friends, but still some contacts, especially the Spanish ones, I need to have them always present on both.
-
This morning I opened a second whatsapp profile and when I checked the contacts also present on the first profile this happens: for certain contacts, not all of them, the image of the contact profile does not appear, while on the first whatsapp number everything is regular

This morning i received two phone calls from 2 different numbers: one at 9.32( 0923425290) and one at 9.33(0923426838). I missed both of them as i went out to buy some food and kept the phone in my room. I tried many times to call the phone numbers back, but the numbers are both always busy. Are they legitimate number or what? Thanks

This is money not related to the company, the account was open in Pattaya and i am in Bangkok, and of course i will google it if is this kind of question are not allowed here.

My new company opens an account for me with local Thanachart Bank: because i will have around 800 euros send from my country to here every months, what details i have to send to my bank in my country? Bank name, bank account and swift code are enough? And please which is the Thanachart swift code for the Central Festival Pattaya branch? Thanks a lot for any help.

Apparently, the hotel in the OP calls it a key deposit.
When i wrote that they ask for key deposit i literally mean it: they told me the 600 thb was a cash deposit in case the keys were lost. And is not a card key, a simple one.

No Sir: i just move to Thailand for start a new job and i am in Bangkok for process some documents. Just sounds strange a deposit for the key as i was never asked before.

Why would you do that?
I have never in my life been asked for a "key deposit". Million years since I stayed anywhere used keys also.
I will not keep the key of course: just kidding. And for me is first time that i was asked for this kind of deposit.

Maybe my question can sounds strange: i move to Bangkok for few days for process some documents and i checked in into a 3 stars hotel. At the reception the boy that take care of the process asked me for 600 thb as deposit for the room key. Is this normal in Thailand or just some hotels do that? And what this mean? If i lose or keep the key they will keep the 600 thb.

Good afternoon everyone: my name is Ermanno, Spanish and just move to Thailand. I will use this forum for few questions and thanks in advance for your answers. Tomorrow i will start to process my work permit and some other documents. As i heard that tomorrow is a national holiday, my questions are:
1) Is the immigration close?
2) Any banks out of the locals Mall are open as i have a bank just few steps from my accommodation?
Why bank and some offices cant be more helpful in this period?
