I am a tutor and spoken English teacher whose work was looking dried up and scarce after the lockdown began. I have been looking at possibilities on online tutoring and around 30% of my earlier students have agreed to shift and try out online teaching models. I have also begun writing interesting mathematical content for edtech companies with visual aid etc (i use examples like this one on multivariable functions) to supplement my earning. It is a lot of hustle but somehow working out right now.

Defunding and re-looking at the policing system really is long overdue but what even can be expected from Biden's diplomacy!

I think you have got plenty of messages of advice and solidarity already, i just wanted to share that i hope your partner is able to see and understand your concerns. And take steps from there

I did not face any extra strictness and maybe the case that they would take a look closely at you.

I quite love vaping too. Even though i wouldn't say that i am addicted to it. The recent medical literature coming on it is quite scary but it is wonderful to learn from this thread.

I often swim to relax and definitely go for a hike or a trek once every two week. I am also a sucker for sleeping in late. I have been reading a lot of psychology and really loving it. My current read is Psychological Science, and i especially recommend the tenth chapter which looks at emotions. Very insightful on pain and hurt.

i completely and absolutely agree with the conversation that is going on- encountering smokers while traveling is one of my nightmares. However, I must come clean and tell you that my partner was a huge smoker for the first 5 years of our marriage- we read one too many ways of getting over the habit for him. In the end, enrolling him to an anti-smoking course taken by a leading habit-breaking psychologist was really helpful- to this day, we read good psychology blogs about addiction and psychology together- glad to be out of that stressful time. We are currently reading Psychological Science and it has an elaborate part of addictive bhr and its ways of coping
