Many villages in rural Thailand have no option for Internet access at all.

AFAICT, all the businesses in the Central mall in Khon Kaen except Tops have been closed for about 3 weeks, now.

Just remain unhappy to be locked at home.
You have the Internet, and you can download books and movies and TV programs and games to keep you occupied.
Quit complaining.

Sadly my friend died at 4.20 a.m. His last request was for me to hold him in my arms, which I did. It was the most harrowing thing to watch him slowly slipping away. I will remember it until my dying day.
It's hard to remember something which didn't happen.

This is patently untrue. Even a bandana is better than nothing, given that aerosol exposure is likely to come in the form of virus particles suspended in droplets, which are considerably larger than the virus itself, and will be stopped by a standard surgical mask or a repurposed T-shirt or whatnot.

I hope that Grab continues to function, and that they don't refuse service to farangs.
I've been in the country since well before the CoVID-19 pandemic kicked off, but my suspicion is that many locals simply won't care . . .

I'm moving from Bangkok to Khon Kaen at the end of this week (decided to do so about a month ago), and am curious as to restaurant delivery, supermarket, 7/11, hospital, and immigration office availability, in particular.
Also, how is the taxi situation? My plan was to buy a car after getting settled in, but I'm wondering now if it would be a better idea to hang onto the cash in case it's needed due to exigencies, at least for now.
Any thoughts, observations, and advice from those with direct knowledge of the situation in Khon Kaen would be greatly appreciated, many thanks!

Smart phone Google maps works perfect for me all over Thailand
They don't provide door-to-door driving directions in Khon Kaen, and also lack transliteration of many street names into English.

I'm looking at purchasing a Honda HRV, which amazingly in the year 2020, isn't offered with any option for factory-installed GPS navigation in Thailand.
Does anyone have any recommended third-party GPS navigation installers and brands/models in the Khon Kaen area?
Thanks much!

I'm moving from BKK to Khon Kaen, and would be grateful for some pointers.
My visa is a Thailand Elite visa, which is technically a class of tourist visa. I'll be renting a house in Khon Kaen.
Do I have to submit a TM27 form in person to the Khon Kaen immigration office? And if so, must I do this within 24 hours of arriving at my new house in Khon Kaen? Are there immigration agents who can do this for me? The Thailand Elite people do not offer their concierge service in Khon Kaen.
Do I have to submit a TM30 within 24 hours of arriving at my new house? If so, is reporting online sufficient, or must I go in person to the Khon Kaen immigration office, at least the first time? Must I have filed the TM27 in person before filing the TM30 online?
Also, in relation to online TM30 reporting, my assumption is that my new landlord won't want to be bothered with this, and so I'll need a copy of his Thai ID card, a copy of the house blue book, a copy of the lease agreement, and a power of attorney from the landlord in order to register for filing the TM30 online.
I've read about a requirement for 'tax stamps' on the power of attorney forms submitted in person as part of the TM30 process; must I somehow obtain these elusive, mysterious 'tax stamps' and adhere them to the power of attorney, and then scan the power of attorney for upload? If so, pointers on how and where to obtain them would be welcome.
Thanks in advance for information regarding the above, it's greatly appreciated!
Left country and re-entered; but 90-day reporting email reminder is based upon my previous entry date?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

I had been doing 90-day reporting online for the last 3 years, and all was well.
Then I left the country, and returned a day later. This should've restarted the 90-day reporting clock.
However, I just received an email reminder to perform my 90-day reporting — and the date in the email reminder is based upon my previous 90-day cycle. The due date in the email is 2 weeks prior to my actual due date, based upon the date I just entered the country. It seems that the online 90-day reporting system isn't aware that I left and then re-entered the country.
If I ignore this email prompting me to do my 90-day report 2 weeks earlier than it's actually due, will I be flagged as overstaying? Should I visit the local immigration office to seek clarity? The local immigration office dislike the online reporting system and always urge me to report to them in-person whenever I must interact with them, as they (rightly, from their perspective) view the online system as lessening their importance.
Advice appreciated, thanks!
