Um, rubber has been in the price range of 18-21 baht for cup for the last 2 yrs. 21 baht for the last few months. 23 baht is a slight raise, but nothing spectacular.

I have to say guys. I live out in the sticks in sakon nahkon. In all my years i have never seen so many women in my life out here. Eyeing me like candy and i am definitely not eye candy. Ha, this was also the best sonkron i have ever had. As it was quite.
tho, i am annoyed with the constant small shops opening around me. In my village there are now 9, yes 9 ma and pa shops on a small 7 block road....seems to be a new one opening every week. Monkey see...monkey do. I suppose.
anyone else notice that alot of thais are still shopping like they are millionaires?

Good day, i am a member of thailand elite. My membership expires in 4 months. I just received an email. Stating they will discount me 2%, if i purchase before dec 31, 2020. As on January they will increase the price from 500k baht to 600k baht.
Anyone else get an email like this?

Out here in sakon nahkon, 20 min out for ban muang hospital. (Add the hospital with the village to get the google search). You can find 50k rice or potato fields. If you buy over 20-30rai they will through in a few rai or nan for free. Note: it is all government land.

The wife and i last night slept peacefully. Unlike every other year for Songkran. Where our house shakes for two weeks non stop. From the music from the competitive neighbors.

Last week, I was refused to enter a macro store in Bueng Kan. For having a temperature to low. Not to high, but too low.
the next day when i was waiting to get a soup at a small shop. A group of locals accused me of having the virus.
i am not sick, i have been in the country for more then 40 days. More then the 14 day incubation period.
everything else has been business as usually. Friendly faces and happy smiles.

The sad state of Thai labour in the countryside

Over the years I have gone through 20-30 men. I now have 4 good men working for me. They show up everyday on time and do hard work.
I have found half days work best. This gives them time to tend to their own fields in the afternoon. I pay them 200 baht, no lunch and free coffee and vitamins in the morning.
i do not hire any thais under the age of 35. As i find anyone under that age is useless here. Always some excuse of why they were late, or could not make it.
as for female staff. Christ! I have been able to find 2 descent ones in 7 years. Out of 40 up. The reasons are endless. But out here the women are lazy as <deleted>. All happily waiting to free load from their daughters children. Using them as leverage to get their month money.
thank the lucky stars i have one good women staff left. She shows up, does a great job, doesnt need to have her hand held and works above and beyond the call of duty(babysitting in the off hours).
main problem out here is i live in a welfare area. Government land with government subsidies.
