in Italy they say there is a 10 % mortality rate of who gets it....meaning who goes to hospital and gets tested cause he has symptoms...so that is really high....
Taiwan seems to be the smartest country.....by closing the borders with China and now people live with almost no restrictions.......
it is scary thing.....if it will come back each year, even those who got over it last year can get reinfected......i have a suspision diseases like this will be coming and coming in the future......it is also possible it was artificially made in the lab.........i watched some documentary like 2 years ago, where there are open labs where regular people can mix all kind of ingredients together with no supervision and that scared me back then....how do we know this stuff really came from animals in Wuhan being placed in cages one on top of another.....this disease is really scarry.....
Do some fact checking, I’ve heard that many senior virologists say that it’s definitely from an animal host not from a lab. I mean the Chinese are responsible so they’ll have to stop anyone in future from handling bats full stop, the World should insist on that. As for it coming back every year, within a year there’ll be a vaccine so that’s a non issue. You need to avoid reading stuff from fear mongers, they thrive on scaring people for some twisted reason. Go calmly it’s all going to be OK ????

That would only be remotely true if you’re naive enough to believe the Thai government figures. Do your homework ol mate, how many viral pneumonia’s are there on record now compared to previous years? If you can find this stat you’ll find where some of the hidden Covid cases are/were, but I suspect you won’t find it....... you follow?

When the goin’ gets tough the tough stay home...the weak party on the beach. So happy the army’s involved just hope they have power of arrest as well and $10,000 fines should be introduced not just as the maximum, make it standard, then the weak turds might just get it

You need to check first this...there are almost no direct flights to Australia so it is important you don't book a ticket via transit airport you are not allowed to pass through:
https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm
I think it is currently OK to go via South Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines, but that can change any day.
If you are serious of going back, pack your bags and get a hotel close to Swampy, then every day go to the airline's counters and make them check if any available flight is proceeding before you pay. Don't book a flight more than 1-2 days ahead, as there is a very good chance it may get cancelled or transit restrictions imposed.
You are in way better position than me, all flights from/to India are stopped until April 14th.
I think it’s probably better just to sit tight and safe and wait for any news from the Embassy about repatriation flights, they will be able to ensure you get onto the plane, cost or no cost is less important. I had 3 different flights cancelled with 3 different airlines so not going down that path again

Are you another that’s posting form the safety of home then!
I wish, I’m stranded in Phetchabun, booked 3 flights with 3 airlines and all got cancelled. Now just hoping the government arrange some repatriation flights ASAP

Oz pm (for him no capitals) suggested Australians find way home commercially knowing full well it was a stup up brewing! National carrier shutting down, why have one if it can,t assist. Billions spent on economic /health package but zero on repatriation. Anyone heard from Oz Embassy?
Best thing to do is send an email to the Oz Embassy, details on their website. This will let them know you’re wanting repatriation and how to contact you when hopefully flights are arranged

His number plate is clearly recorded but any chance the cops will investigate?
Perhaps a name and shame on social media would get the better result- 9

Buy from a farang if you can, if you’re anywhere near CM I strongly recommend Expat Autos. Be aware Thai car tents are addicted to altering Odometers, if there’s no written and stamped service record in the cars manufacturers service history book, walk away no matter how good the car appears.
Toyota and Honda in white are the most popular with Thais and both are very reliable.- 2

and they wont be allowed to board a plane to a home country for treatment.
Will long term “tourists” with the virus report to immigration for extensions on medical grounds?
I’m heading back to Oz in 9 days, I’m in good health but 69yo and I know I’d rather be home if the s#*t hits the fan. We have 250 cases with a population of 25 million so it simply stands to reason there are way more here than the government owns up to.
Free high quality medical vs wallet shock, farang pay double hit and miss medical...easy choice really.- 6

But a 12yo can ride a motorbike with no muffler and wearing no helmet at flat out speed and be totally ignored by a cop standing in the street. I witnessed exactly this in Ao Nang yesterday, the cop was not busy he could easily have waved the kid down... seriously <deleted>!

"A stitch in time, saves nine". The Government never lost control simply because it was never in control. However, they had an opportunity to slow and control this virus, learning best practices from other countries, now this will cost them Hundreds of Billion of Thai Baht .... more than the measly Chinese tourist revenue ever contributed. When the general population starts to suffer - sickness, job losses, etc, it might even cost them an election. Let's see how this rolls as it going to get ugly.
You need to read up, they cannot lose an election, it is (militarily) mandated that they automatically have the majority of seats. There is only one way they can be replaced...

75, so if the numbers double every 6 days...it will be 150 on the 19th and 300 on the 25th....unless something unusual happens...like sharing fags...and drinks too? How soon before Thailand joins the 1000+ club?
There are many eminent believers that that figure was achieved weeks ago, but we dare not try to create any loss of face coz that’s when the bullets fly

imo if you are eating a normal and varied Thai diet (high in veggies low in meat and fat and salt) and getting a bit of exercise and sunlight then vitamins are a total waste of money and merely support a large corporation somewhere probably in Switzerland ... but i'm not a doctor ... so (1) do you have a doctor and (2) has s(he) told you that you need some sort of supplement? I
i'd be surprised if the answer to (2) was yes ... any doctor i've every asked ... maybe 6 or 7 over my 67 years ... has said "if you are eating a normal and varied diet (high in veggies low in meat and fat and salt) and getting a bit of exercise and sunlight then vitamins are a total waste of money" ... but now i'm repeating myself.
You can say that again
