you should get something like malwarebytes to see it will clear out any ad-ware spyware, and then instal an adblocker on your browser.

are you sure it's keyboard? did you test responsiveness via keyboard viewer? Also you could easily see if battery is swollen or not. Depending on your skill set and model of MBP

Hey Dave, I'm not sure about rate. I don't think it'll be issue it obviously only be able to do the 3gbs max. I replaced my 2012 MBP with 1tb SSD by Samsung last year, and it improved it's speed alot. It also wasn't too hard. the longest part was transferring the data. I believe What I did to be safe was backup via timemachine on external drive I had, and then timemachine to the ssd.
Also remember that you'll need to format the SSD first and you'll need the right cable for that. Otherwise your mac won't recognize the drive. I tried an older cable and it didn't work. Even when formatted.

I'm also looking at replacing my macbook pro and have necessary IT skills to do battery replacement. But around town here in CM they want 2500 on low side to 4000 on high. And talking with shops they clam up when I ask where they source their batteries or if they are different from one on Lazada. Also find it suspicious that their warranties, match the same as lazada ones. Does anyone have any actually experience with ones purchased from Lazada or bad experience from one replaced by shop in CM?

So I ordered one from Lazada it worked however I ran hardware test on it, and came up as fake. as in Battery not meeting output. So I sent it back. Hopefully see money again. Local shops are charging 2500 at cheapest to 3000 one even 4500. I doubt they are different but maybe. I'm still deciding what to do long term.
