If your not in a hurry I can do it for you though you`ll have to bring the paper .
I will be out of town until next Monday.
PM me
Thanks a lot for the offer. I'm not in a hurry, and that would be great. But what do you mean about bringing the paper? Just to clarify, I need these pages scanned and saved as electronic files, not photocopied.
Thanks again very much for the offer, but I'm assuming you had something else in mind.

Does anyone know if a cheap place to scan in a lot of pages?? Like 700 or so??? Preferably a place where they do the scanning for you...
TIA is anyone can help!!

I'm looking for suggestions as to where is the best place to go (cafe, coffee shop, etc) to do some work on a laptop for a few hours or more. I like Coffee Society near Sala Daeng a lot, but I'm just wondering if there are any equally accomodating/ comfortable places elsewhere... for a change of scenery. Preferably, I'd like suggestions that are near either a BTS or MRT station.
Thanks!!

Does anyone know where Ban Reng Khai is in Isaan? I have heard it is in Surin but am not sure. I went to the Ban Reng Khai craft shop in Bangkok a few weeks ago, but no one there could tell me for sure. I am just curious where these things come from.
I have looked on a map, but can't find it anywhere. Anyone have any clues how I can find this place?
Thanks....

Hello all...
I am flying from Bangkok to Phuket and would like to get to Khao Lak, the cheapest way possible. Wikitravel says that there is a bus, but it isn't very specific as to where and how to catch the bus. Could someone please let me know where I would go to get this bus and how I'd get there from the airport.
TIA!!
Yes there is definately a bus. We have gone the other way from Khao Lak to the airport. The bus you are after goes to Takua Pa and will stop in Khao Lak. From the airport you need to get onto the main highway leaving Phuket (highway 4 i think). From the airport turn left and follow this road until it reaches the main highway. There is the bus stop near to the junction. A motorbike taxi should be able to take you there.
Apologies for the vagueness of this reply but it was a few years back when we made this trip so the memory is a bit sketchy.
Thanks
Thanks.
Is the bus stop easily identifiable? and roughly how much should we expect to pay the moto driver? Is it easy to find a moto driver at the airport? and finally does the bus have anything written on it in English to indicate that it is heading towards Takua Pa?
Thanks again.

Getting a visa in Cambodia is not the most pleasant experience for most people. If you need to obtain the visa would recommend another country to obtain it in.
Just extending and then making a visa free entry should work.
Thanks very much for the info.
Unfortunately, I have to be in Cambodia for at least a little while at some point, so no choice there. What is so bad about the visa experience there? (just so I am prepared....)
It is good to hear that getting a 30 day extension won't be a problem for me, because other people had told me that sometimes they only give 10 days. Is this not true?
Thanks again

Hello all...
I am currently in Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa (that I got in the US) that expires mid-April. My goal is to stay until mid-June, which would require me to get another 60 days somehow.
Would it be possible to do this in one or both of the following ways:
Get a 30-day (?) extension in Thailand, and then leave the country after this new 30 days (after a total of 90 days) and re-enter, for another 30 (total 120) days??
Go to Cambodia after the 60 days is up and get another 60 day visa from the Thai Embassy there??
Or do both of these violate the new restrictions? I can't really tell from what I have been reading on here.
Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks everyone for your advice... Are there any buses that go straight from Bangkok to Khao Lak? If so, would these be recommended?

Anyone have any recommendations as to what is the best way to get from Bangkok to Khao Lak?? Would renting a car be a good idea to make this trip? If so, approximately how long is the drive?
Thanks!

Hello all...
Is it possible to cash a check from the US, written in US dollars, in Thailand (in either baht or dollars or whatever)?? I don't have a bank account in Thailand.
My apologies if this topic has been discussed elsewhere on the forum, but I couldn't find it using the search.
Thanks in advance!

What is it with some people? You took about 160 keystrokes to type your message. By typing 'fedex
thailand' & enter(15 keystrokes) or 'ups thailand' & enter (12 keystrokes), you would have got the information instantaneously. Now how simple is that?
I am looking for a FedEx store. FedEx.com is not clear as to what different types of locations offer. Do you happen to know off-hand the difference between a "FedEx World Serivce Center" and a "FedEx Station"? Most of the locations listed seem to be in office buildings and may just be shipping centers for people with FedEx codes. I apologize that I am not better educated in the world of shipping, but I was hoping that someone who lives here could point me in one direction or another rather than count my keystrokes.

Hello,
I am looking for either a FedEx, UPS or somewhere else to ship something to the US. I am right near Silom station at the moment. Is there anything near here??
TIA!!

You would have to apply for a double entry at a Consulate - your visa has already been used once you enter Thailand.
Lucid:
The 90 day rule for being out of the country only effects arrival without visa stays from current information.
Thanks. So, what is the max number of entries I can get on a visa?

Hello All...
I am moving to Khon Kaen at the end of January and am wondering if I will be able to find a teaching position at this time. Does anyone know of good places to look for jobs in or near the city of Khon Kaen? Does anyone know if these places will be hiring at this time?
Thanks
Hotel Recommendation In Phnom Penh
in Thailand Travel Forum
Posted
Hi.
I'll be travelling to Phnom Penh (with my boyfriend) for about two weeks and was hoping to stay somewhere that's 1) cheap and 2) offers free wi-fi to guests and 3) is near the riverfront. I haven't been able to find anything online that is very cheap for two people.
Last year, we were able to stay (with no wifi) for $5/night in Phnom Penh, but everything I'm finding with wifi is around $30 or more/night. Just wondering if anyone knows if such a place exists (with the three above-mentioned characteristics).
TIA if anyone has any advice!
