I Entered Thailand on February 17, 2020 and recieved a visa exempt stamp. I extended this visa on March 17 for 30 days. I already went to immigration on March 30 with the embassy letter and was given stamp saying "application of stay is under consideration" come back in 20 days. Does the automatic extension apply to me?..so instead of going back, I just follow the new amnesty guidlines?

Im hoping category 3 will work for me. Similar situation to the post above; American on a 30+30...Was planning to get a non immigrant o in laos but thats been scrapped. I have a thai bank account with over 400,000 baht and insurance w/ 5mil baht coverage. Hoping this makes a difference...Fingers crossed I get a good IO.

NO AUTOMATIC EXTENSION for people with covid extension
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

My 1st visa extension expires on April 17th, but I was stupid and went early to immigration for the covid extension...I recieved the considerstion stamp to go back on april 20th. I'm just going to go on the 20th and it sounds like they will either give me a new stamp thay would then include me in the amnesty program or tell me to go home.
Will post my experience.
