  1. Is the following due any way to USA? "Taiwan, they took all of our computer chips and semiconductors," Trump said Wednesday. "We used to be the king, right? We were everything. We had all of it. Now we have almost none."
  2. Applies to Bessent, Rubio, Vance, etc as much or more than the people who voted without thinking. Make America Great Again is laughable. Where would the Americans living in Thailand prefer to live now?
  3. Demand is there, but price is too high...no worries I'll ask Elon to open mutiple factories manufacturing products with no skilled labour available tomorrow and you know the guy is a genius he will do it. I want an American made shirt from my local shop in CA; owner says we cannot compete on price or quality. People born in USA don't want to make shirts all day or read they don't have the patience, skill, etc and salary is too low. Elon - import some Cambodians and make sure they pay their taxes.
  4. Where is USA on this list? Does the average or any American have the mentality to sit making shirts all day as people in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc do? How many years does it take to train people for skilled jobs, who will invest in new businesses, innovation when people don't know how long the trade war will last and what the impact will be? More damage to the world and any American who can see past the end of his Trump nose in the last 3 months compared to any 3 month period since the end of WW II. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/rankings/Share_of_manufacturing/&ved=2ahUKEwjTlZv7zrqMAxXFS2cHHdwFGvgQFnoECBYQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2rOvEVIHBW-lGPl9TlY165
  5. Last year I sent a mail to division1 about e gates and after several weeks received the following reply. I sent a mail to Division 2 but never received a reply. 'Please inquire with Immigration Division 2 directly. Contact - Immigration Division 2 email : [email protected]'
  6. It is not currently possible as of 5 days ago. Following may be of interest. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www2.deloitte.com/content/dam/Deloitte/th/Documents/tax/th-tax-newsletter-immigration-alert-dec2024.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiqg9bv27aMAxU9TGcHHUFeGokQFnoECBoQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1yE69FY58dUw2dvs0nDa-g
  7. FYI I have departed from and arrived at SVB 3 times in recent weeks. Each time I haved used the autogates on departure and the non autogates for Thai citizens on arrival.
  8. Agreed except traffic on these soi probably worse especially when a bike lane is initiated.
  9. You are frequenting the wrong places. Visit PARQ, Park Silom, Lake Ratchada and many more.
  10. You clearly know little about females in Bangkok/Thailand. In professional positions such as accounting, legal, donors, banks, airlines, etc.....etc, as well as entrepeneurs there are thousands and thousands and more females who are fluent or almost in English. These women are attractive, smart, well travelled internationally, etc and a high % are unmarried and never have been. I know because since the mid 1990s until I retired from working in Thailand I employed many females, as well as working with females in sub-contrac tors, lawyers, etc. Go to eat in any office building at lunchtime in Bangkok and females outnumber males. Genuine and many attractive females and I guess a high % are unmarried, don't have a partner, maybe never have.
  11. Deserving of a PhD! I learnt more (or less?) in a 2 minutes read than 30 years in Thailand.
  12. Share price is approx 60% of high in 2014 so this should be taken into account when considering % dividend which in last 2 years has been 75-80% of net profit.
  13. The only way to fly is not Economy. I was fortunate to have an Employer who paid for Business Class on all flights partly as I was travelling 300,000 miles per year for more than 5 years; now as I am working much less still more than 150,000 miles per year. I don't drink alcohol, rarely eat on flights (mostly only if genuine Japanese food), rest if not sleep deeply, read and work. Flying is mostly about going from A to B, sometimes via C. Many times I would travel back from Africa via Dubai, arrive late at night at SVB, sleep in the airport rather than going home then on an early morning flight to Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Kathmandu, .... I am fortunate that I cannot remember suffering from jet lag. After millions of miles I don't care much about the new menu for example.
