The feeling may be that with the Emergency act the government has more control of things if there is a need to act on Covid.
Too a point I can understand look at what is happening in all these countries that have rights. I am willing to bet that a lot of governors in the U.S. would like to have the ability to make that decree and enforce it.
The decree is a pain for some but it really is not hurting the country unless you aer mad because your favorite bar girl is still up north with mom and dad.
Maybe you haven't seen the queues of people waiting on free food handouts and the multiple establishments with homeless people squatting due to being closed because of no tourists

Thailand has already a list with countries of low risk.
China with Hong Kong and Macau
South Korea
maybe they will add
Taiwan
Australia
New Zealand
Vietnam
Europe and USA for sure not, they are still high risk areas and this probably will not change until we have a vaccineWhat makes you think there will be a vaccine when they have been trying to find a vaccine for SARS for nearly 20 years? China is also in a second lockdown phase in a city outside of Wuhan so why are they low risk?

Put your foot down and stop this behaviour immediately and teach your child about protecting herself, i.e. she shouldn't be naked around other people, people shouldn't be naked around her. No touching of her private parts etc. If you feel like your marriage is declining or your wife doesn't back you with your protective measures, I would suggest you leave with your daughter. Leaving your daughter with her mother this kind of thing will only continue until she unfortunately ends up like those young girls gang raped by the school teachers. Wish you all the best I have a daughter and if anything like that had occurred I would have beat the <deleted> out of him

So now are we seeing that possible uptick in numbers from those who failed to heed warnings and still socially gathered in violation of what they were told. Or from those that still gathered in groups either on the beach or in bars, which id not shut, or from still running around without personal safety at thought. Could these also be the first numbers from those that traveled home to the provinces? Just a few Questions as there is no listing, or is it a release from the tests that have been backlogged....
It's just the people who felt sick enough and had the cash to pay to get tested. Most Thais don't have the 5000 baht test fee. They are not testing enough people on a daily basis to get an accurate figure.

That is not empirical evidence that the figures are deliberately false which is the suggestion that I was responding to, that's just your opinion of the number of cases.
Daily press briefings give the amount of cases and how many were tested..it's not an opinion, it's info given by the Thai government

If you've got something empirical that justifies your cynicism about the number of cases, let's hear it. If you haven't. what was your point?
Thailand isn't testing enough people to get an accurate figure, this daily rate of around 100+ per day is nonsense. In Phuket as an example only 1200 people have been tested, where as other nations are testing upwards of 20k per day....I guess having a low amount of testing helps give the impression the country is doing well in containing the virus. Is that empirical enough for you?

Here's something empirical, the stated 100+ cases per day is incorrect. Thailand isn't testing enough people to get an accurate figure. As an example in Phuket only 1,200 people have been tested where a
