A year out of Thailand and still no regrets. Life is so much better in the Uk. Everything works so well. So much to do and places to go. Bought a new house with a great garden. Life is still good.

It's started raining and it's cold too. But I still shudder at the thought of a return to Thailand.

hi, a while ago you contributed to a discussion on installation of 'bum guns' in the Uk. I am now in the Uk and having my bathroom renovated. My builder is not upto speed on their installation. I just wonder what you do about water temperature? I would be grateful for any information. Thanks.

Still not let down by Uk life. It's nothing like the jadded wingers like to make out.

We've been back in the Uk for about a month now. Everything is great. I feel so good being back here. I should have left Thailand years ago. If you are thinking of leaving Thailand because you are not happy I recommend you do it.

At last, I'm no longer in Thailand. It feels so good. I advise anyone else thinking of leaving to do so.

The heat and humidity has been high the last few days. How can anyone claim the climate here is good?

One way ticket out for the 19th.

I may have reduced my stay here from a further 5 weeks to only 2 1/2! Fingers crossed.

I ran a 'Half marathon' at Satahip today. I signed up for a 21.2km half marathon, but crossed the finish line which was marked 20km. My GPS said 19.5km. The last 10km run I did was actually 11.6km. Thais aren't big on detail are they!

We took the kids for a walk around the estate yesterday evening. There was a Thai chap training a large pitbull to pull a car tire with rocks inside it. After a while it stopped outside a cafe and did a huge <deleted>, which was nice.

Six slow weeks until I get out of Thailand, on a one way ticket.

One way tickets booked out of Thailand. At last! 3rd August can not come soon enough.

I've moved onto an estate where so far there has been nothing to annoy me! No noise, no dogs, no scooters, nothing. If it continues I will seek medical advice.

Todays complaint: ordered a pizza from my fav pizza shop. Twenty minutes later they called back to ask how to make it.

Today's complaint: the truck came to empty the estate bins at 5:50am today. It was extremely loud, and had the bonus of the driver and Co. shouting to each other at the tops of their voices for the 20 minutes it took to empty a couple of bins. They did of course leave a good spread of debris all over the floor. They must have gone to school to lean how to do a job so annoyingly.

Wow, a blog function. Well I never.

Erm, today nothing happened to annoy me. Mind you I didn't really leave the house. Nice weather though. Sort of like a cool British summers day.
