Report from MTT - 1 Dec
Apply 60 day extension on 17 Nov, got under consideration stamp until 1-Dec. Coming back again yesterday and got stamp until 29-Jan-21.
I guess different IO have different practice.
Anyway, MTT yesterday was a nightmare. The people who need to get final stamp must join with others who do last minute application. We enter at 9AM (they move to other building where counter J located), got final stamp at 1PM.

Could you share what documents did you need for the tm30? How was the process? Had you ever filed one before? Thanks in advance
I did self reporting because the owner doenst want to do it.
List of document:
1. rental agreement
2. copy of house book
3. copy of owner ID
4. power of attorney form that fill up by owner - Basically this form stated the owner give authority to me to do TM30 on behalf of them. If you dont have this, IO said the owner must come with me.
5. TM30 form - I fill up on the spot
6. copy of my passport + last entry stamp + visa stamp
It take about 1 hour to do this, as i need to back and forth doing some copy of document. At the end they ask me to pay some fine because did not report earlier (about 800THB). After that they give me receipt of TM30 slip.
Anyway this is first time I do this. Hopefully can use this slip in case I need another extension in January.

Hi All,
Live report for 60 day extension. I went to MTT this morning, the office is quite empty. The process itself should not take more than 40 minutes to submit the application and wait for passport return. But since my officer ask for TM30, i have to go to other building to do self report (Lucky I bring all the required documents). Looks like it depend on officer as well, person sit next to me did not ask about TM30.
What need to bring: TM7 + 2 other form, copy passport, photo ID, copy of TM30 notif. Once arrived they will ask you to fill up new affidavit.
Got "under consideration" stamp and asked to report back on 1 Dec.
Anyway, the IO ask for embassy letter multiple times, but I just say MAI MEE and they accept it.

Hi All,
Thanks for all the input. Finally we decide to go to new car showroom and one of them allow me to do financing without Thai guarantee as long as down payment is 30%.

I have financed 5 cars without a Thai guarantor, 40% deposit / down payment, never an issue, last one was with SCB bank.
Hi, i been told for the 1st car purchase it always require Thai guarantor. Do you mind PM me the dealer name or bank contact on your case?

Hi All,
I'm newbie here, lived in Bangkok and looking to buy used card with financing arrangement. Been to 5-7 car dealer but all of them said financing companies will require Thai guarantor. Tell them i'm willing to pay 50% of deposit if neccesary, but still no luck
I have work permit & married to foreigner as well. We are looking a way to get car financing without Thai guarantor.
Is there any recommendation of dealer/finance company who are easy on this?

My personal report from MTT today.
Previously got under consideration stamp to report back 7-Oct.
Today went again to MTT, arrive at 8.30, not that many people around 20-30 peoples. They take my passport and stamp to 30-Nov, no question ask.

Just back from MTT to do 30-day extension using embassy letter. It quite fast, only take about 30min as the queue is not that long this morning. No question asked by IO, they barely check the content of embassy letter, just ensure whether its exist or not. Got "under consideration" stamp till 7-Oct and ask to come back that day to get remaining 20 days.
PS. They dont entertain walk-in eventhough the people not that crowded, and apparently system limit you cannot book appointment on the same day (at least 1 day earlier).

Gov’t Renews Visa Amnesty for Foreigners Stranded in Pandemic
By Khaosod English
BANGKOK — The Cabinet on Tuesday said it extended the amnesty for foreigners’ stay in Thailand amid the global coronavirus outbreak for a second time.
The automatic extension of stay in the Kingdom, which was to expire on July 31, is now renewed until Sep. 26, according to government spokeswoman Traisuree Taisaranakul.
The mandatory 90-day reporting for foreigners residing in Thailand is also suspended, she said.
Officials said the measure will help travelers who found themselves stranded in Thailand due to travel restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
Under the visa amnesty, the foreigners will not have to queue up at immigration to report their residency or extend their stay in the country.

I went to MTT for 1st 30 day extension with 2 kids under 5 year old.
Document:
1. Passport + copy
2. TM6 + copy
3. recent photo 4x6
4. TM7 form
5. embassy letter
6. cash THB 1900
We come through at 1pm, ask the IO if there is special lane for families, that guys not sure. Its located on car park where no lift so we need to fold the pram and climb the stair. At the end we queue to same lane with others. In front of us about 200 people, take 2.5 hour to get our turn and wait another 30 minutes to get the passport back. They give us full 30 day extension.
This journey really exhausting especially for the kids, i hope our flight re-open soon so we will not experience the same nightmare again.
