If leaver has tiny fan room its up to him,so if I'm the likes of Leaver I assure you that seething with anger and frustration I most certainly am not, just the opposite I promise you.
Nice big palace Id say,and if and I mean if I did decided on a purchase ,at now paying a peppercorn rent is hardly worthwhile, the amount of rent even if I lived another 25 years would not come anywhere close to the amount Id have to shell out to own, plus the owner pays for everything repair wise.
if anyone is twisted with anger its the ones commenting on,and stuck in a bog that they will never get out of
Even to you,you realise the game is up in Pattaya especially, property wise, thousands of em,tens of thousands empty/up for rent/abandoned..finished kaput.
Enjoy your property owning time here, cannot say I particularly want to join you,but hey ,were all different lol
We are certainly different, some of us went to school.

I can't see the point of opening unless the toursits are back, The Hard Rock i guess caters to Westerners, they won't be here for a long time.
Doesn't Ong Beng Seng the Singapore tycoon own the franchise for the Asia Hard Rocks? He's worth an estimated $1.7 Billion. He more than likely never got to where he is today with the mind set "whats the point".

I go to all types of bars, nightclubs, live music venues, and gentleman's clubs.
And any other venue that has balloons outside no doubt.

We bought the condo for 7MB, spent 1.5MB on the furniture and renovation, and sold for 10.5MB.
Well done you it's nice to read that someone has had a nice profit. That will make the likes of Leaver seethe with anger and frustration at their lack of ability and how they have ended up balloon chasing and renting tiny fan rooms.

I've learned to ignore this poster. This is a good example of why. You posted that you went to look at a very high-end project with homes priced at around 150MB, according to the sales person, who also said most of the buyers were from Bangkok and would only use the beach homes a few times a year. This guy immediately responds with the sarcastic 'And you believed it'.
It is becoming worrying with his erratic behavior, the tell tale signs of a sociopath. What concerns me is in this unprecedented time that mind set will get worse and become completely unhinged and either harm himself or worst still someone else. He claims to live alone by choice, I would say that no one in their right mind would want to live with someone like that, I know I certainly wouldn't.
Yes their are some extremely expensive property in and around Pattaya. Land has increased by astronomical amounts over the past 20 years to a point of almost beyond affordability especially beach front. Land tends to not go down in price much overall here just up and up, if/when the Chinese return it will be back to the land grab as it was pre-covid, it has already started around south Pattaya Jomtien especially the Ban Amphur area where there is much more land for sale the Chinese have bought up a lot in that area alone pushing the prices up more and more.- 2

When I first arrived here many bar stool pundits steered me in the direction of basically not doing anything constructive for myself here other than rent everything. After some time passed I started to see a pattern, it was the same type of characters every time that had nothing, just living in a small room with what they owned in life hanging in their rickety wardrobe.
It became apparent that these type of people were the ones to avoid. I was youngish then and made this place my home so needed to get myself established here with owning some property and maybe some transport of my own and feel a sense of pride in myself.
The same things were being repeated over and over by the bar stool pundits, "I don't own anything here but been here years" "I can go home at a drop of a hat and not have to worry about having to sell anything" By the state of them it was transparent they had nothing at 'home' either wherever that might be.
A deluded outlook to have nothing in life but claim it is street smart, an easy way to try and mask the fact that they have either no pride in themselves or no money or both.
Don't end up like Barry the bar stool pundit, think for yourself and when you walk out your property in the morning walk with your head up high. And in conversation you will notice the green eyed monster rear it's ugly head here very frequently, "oh you bought your own place? rather you than me" that's just called jealousy, it's rampant in Pattaya.

This is going to be bliss.
No more Darksiders who I never really considered as being one of us, mostly an odd reclusive bunch, there's plenty of food outlets over there we don't need unnecessary traffic and contagious outsiders in our city, please stay in bandit country.
No more Bangkokians I sick of seeing Bangkok license plates clogging up our roads with extremely poor road etiquette.
And what with the Chinese flag waving sheep now at an all time low along with the Indians that used to walk down the middle of the sois like they was in Mumbai at last we can have our great city back.
Feed the poor, help the sick this is our city please stay away until further notice.
