Incidentally there is good evidence that the COVID virus did not originate in China at all but the were the first to identify it and take urgent vital action. It seems there is soem evidence that it may have started in France or Spain. China are one of very few countries, yes like Thailand, that have responsibly and effectively handled the COVID problem well putting people before greed and stupidity.
All I am trying to say is lets more make love not war and act together more rationally and sensibly especailly when it comes to COVID 19 precautions.

1 week holiday turns into 5. 2 week quarantine in Thailand, 1 week holiday, 2 week quarantine back in Australia. 5 weeks paid accommodation plus an inflated plane cost.
Even IF plane flights are plentiful, there is hardly anyone that could take 5 weeks off work.
And there are no flights.
Let's talk again in the first half of 2022.

So let me get this right. If I want to come to Thailand to play for a week on Bangla or in Pattaya walking street, 1 week in Thailand on holiday, plus 2 weeks quarantine there and 2 weeks quarantine when i return in my home country.
So I'm paying 5 x weeks accommodation for 1 week of a holiday plus an inflated air ticket plus no employer will give 5 weeks off.
Or say I go with my family and sit in the polluted beaches. 4 in the family X 5 weeks. Inflated airfares, 2 x rooms for 5 weeks.
Sure tourism will recover, it's dead.
