The news here in Australia seems to change on a daily basis. I read 2021 in general is the very earliest they reckon it may happen. the do seem however to be considering allowing thousands of international students in. I am facing a year away from my one year old and girlfriend. Some clarity would be great.

Yes it's a hell of a long time to be seperated from family.

I'm stuck in Australia and my girlfriend and 14 month old son are in Phuket. It's like slow torture not being able to be with them maybe until next year. I'm suffering alot of anxiety.

Now looks like Australian government saying at least January until any international travel is resumed.
Such a long time.

I'm in Australia and with the government saying at least 6 months lockdown I'm worried I won't get to see my 1 yr old son in Phuket for more than that possibility. Anyone else in this position?

Hi there, I have not seen my partner and son since last February due to Covid.
I'm living in Perth, Australia.
The process and what is involved, how much money, will I get back in etc seems a little confusing or rather I can't find the information.
Has anybody made a similar round trip of any kind and would the governments consider this a valid reason.
My son was 11 months and is now 2 years without me seeing him. It's getting pretty long and with the health minister in Australia saying even if everyone was vaccinated, the borders won't open, it's getting difficult to wait so long.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
