Hi...
I don't think this has already been covered as I already have a visa and re-entry permit valid until January 2021.
I am a WP holder whose flight back to UK was cancelled in March and am only now about to go back for urgent family business.
I'd really appreciate knowing if anyone in similar circumstances has successfully managed a return to Thailand after a UK visit under the new rules - especially the process of getting the medical certificate and insurance and getting the "OK to fly" approval from the UK Thai auhtorities within the time constraints set by the rules.
If anyone can also advise how they got the health sertificate and which insurance company they used that would be a bonus.
Many thanks in anticipation of any assistance.

1. Labour shortage in Thailand resulting in migrant workers sending cash out of the country.
2. Which countries are going to give work visas to known ex-convicts?
3. If they can teach cons English, why cant they teach it properly to Thai students?

Slightly off-topic but....
1. I'm starting a campaign to end the confusion shared by many people (mainly Americans) as follows: "I could of......" instead of "I could have......."
2. Thailand, Sweden & Holland all have languages not found outside their own borders. The two nationalities that speak the best English as a second language are Sweden & Holland and they do very well internationally. Thailand, on the other hand.......

I suggest that Thaivisa owner Alex and the TV team should set up some kind of homeless shelters for the homeless people in Pattaya, some sort of CSR thing, after all I am sure TV should have lots of money now with all the irritating pop up ads.
100% agree about the ads - I have made it a policy NOT to buy anything in those ads....so irritating. Enough ads at the sides anyway.

So why are you active on the ThaiVisa forum? You are not here now and are not returning? Get a life
Because YOU don't set the rules.

OK another option is a bit extreme.
Fill out the passport renewal for for applying for a new passport in the UK. (Please note there are two forms. One for applying within the UK and one for applying from outside the UK. Make sure you fill out the right one).
Send the form and your passport to someone you know in the UK and get them to send it to the passport office.
When the new passport arrives get them to send it and the old passport back to you.
1.Couple of obvious problems with this. Stuff does go missing in the post.
2.I'm not sure if the above is legal.
And there will be no entry stamp in the new passport.

Let's hope they're ready for the rush when the govt. announces "no alcohol sales" from 10th to 20th later today.

So what happened at today's (7th April) cabinet meeting about automatic extensions? I have checked a couple of media sources and there seems to be a deafening silence. Or, did I miss something?

At least, being Thai, in addition to the eight charges, he'll not have to worry about filing a TM.30 when he returns home from jail...
Off topic but, more importantly, a pathetic response.

It's a rigged market, nothing else.
Some time ago, I bought a Mitsubishi Triton pickup in Australia. Manufactured in Thailand, it cost 19,000 AUD.
The same Triton, with fewer options and minus the cost of shipping to Australia, at that time in Thailand cost 23,500 AUD. If someone can explain that differential without manipulation being present, I'm all ears.
Excise tax.

I have lived in Muak Lek, Saraburi for 12.5 years and have used the local post office for all my overseas postal needs and have never been asked for I.D. or proof of address.
Expect to get a new postmaster soon!

"There are also postal security measures such as recording senders at every post office nationwide. Another measure involves mail inspection using a two-dimensional x-ray machine three times to detect hazardous substances."
Will "aliens" need to produce a passport, TM30, copy of current visa/ extension etc. to send something out of Thailand by airmail ?
They already do!

I agree with you...not news - advertising.

I estimate it's 95% Thai books.

Re: Post No. 2 above which says: "somehow I doubt there is much happening at the book fair. Thais don't read and books sold at twice the cover price is simply a rip-off."
I suggest you go to the book fair to check your ill-informed statement....I think it lasts for 7 or 10 days and is absolutely mobbed. And the books are priced less than equivalent UK books.

Not to mention the everyday "accident" or "suicide", per the police, that befalls some Farang who "fell" or "jumped" off a 27 floor building with his hands tied behind his back and 3 bullet holes in his chest.
Oh...I must havemissed that. Please share with us.....and, if you can't, grow up.
