  1. Naive/stubborn/pretentious movement from MFP, 272 is much more difficult and complicated than managing to get enough vote for PM.What they do is doing the 272 in parallel with voting for PM.  Who would do that now?. The 272 will take about 4-6months to materialize. Fyi, there were 6 attemps to do the 272 in the past 6 years. All were failed.

272 issue is just for exciting  symbolism show to MFP's fanboys and fangirls.

I hope the increase happens. Seeing my girlfriend work 12 hour days for 300 Baht is heartbreaking

300 baht a day is in compliance with Thai law but, in real world, even Burmese , Khmer , Mon workers got about 400-500 a day in Bangkok and those Thai workers like welders , tiler , air con repair man,  plasterer got like 700-900 a day already. Your girlfriend are at the lowest of the low percenrile here. Do something.

Number 1 and number 8 in the world. That will throw the many posters here who can only complain about all things Thai. Be interesting to see how they try to negatively spin this around.

Thailand is the best country in the world to live in and the delicious cheap food is a big plus.

Personally I would rate the Malay Coconut Curry Laksa as my favorite and considering the close proximity it surprises me that you rarely see it here.

Yes , Panaeang curry was great in  authentic version but modern Thai make it too sweet. For many Thais these days , sweet = delicious which is very distasteful .

From Sweet Pad Thai to sweet Tomyum , sweet grilled pork , sweet Somtam , sweet Pork satay , modern Thais make everything sweet. It can create bad reputation for Thai food in the future.

Food in Japan and Germany are too salty on average but it is better than sweet. I mean salty taste is somehow classier than sweet taste .

Food in Korea is also very sweet , sweet marinated pork , fried chicken , even sour cream and onion flavor potato chips is very sweet!!, every brand!!

Food in Taiwan and Singapore taste is the best for me , very classy with balance of mild saltiness , savoury and bit of sweet.

It's all of Southeast Asia and throw in India and rural China.

It's certainly not limited to Thailand and as a whole is a smaller contributor than it's neighborhood countries.

I agree it's awful.  I live in the Northeast and our kids and us suffer terribly.   One of the reasons I  regret moving up here.

On some days, Thailand produces whopping 3,000 burning heat spots according to the saterlite , while neighbours only has 7-800s. Harsh law enfrocement can cut more than half of the problem , but the dont even f** consider doing it.

Thailand could be making a fortune on a 25% luxury tax, instead of the 100% of more, which discourages most people from buying. How many people do you see in the luxury stores here?

There are enough numbers of rich Thai to sustain the name brand luxury goods bususiness and they are even growing and expanding.

Every weekend , Did you even see long queue in front of Hermes , LV , Channel in Siam Paragon , Icon Siam , Emporium , or even Hermes At Central Phuket.??

    If not you are blind.?

You are just not in this circle and keep imagining things.

Indeed. Thailand is important only to the people that live there. To others, it is a south-east Asian backwater with no influence at all in world affairs, and best known for ladyboys and prostitutes.

Thailand as #22 of most cultural influences ,even above countries like India Russia Turkey

    1 don't  get the percentage.  It's out of 100% right, so how can you 57%, 51%, 42%, 39% & 38%?  That totals 177% of the people surveyed.

1,144 people in the survey can choose every choice they like. 57% of 1,144 people like Kaprao while 51% of 1,144 people like noodles.

It is 10-year-old student math. Why cant someone figure out?? Steryotype of farang with math is always true huh.

13,997 tests in Thailand as of yesterday out of a population of just under 70 million.  No wonder there are so few reported cases here.  On a per capita basis, that puts Thailand at number 156 out of 198 countries and territories that have reported test numbers. [source:  https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/]

It is 13,997 test per1,000,000 population NOT per 70M. Therefore, the total test is........

Is it too hard for farang to calculate?

Seems that you don't have a girlfriend, a family or other obligations in Thailand. For that I envy you. If I could, I also would cancel Thailand from my list of countries to even think about. There are so many other good places in the world indeed.

    Whatever excuses is.

You lose. You are a failure who can not be successful and happy in Thailand but can not escape.  That is complete definition of failure and loser.
